  1. Bravo! VERY nice work, I couldn't have done what you are doing here! I'm more of a Tamiya / WNW / Hasegawa shake and bake kind of builder.
  2. Just wanted to bump this one to the front page, any news? I am very excited about this release!
  3. That Corsair is GORGEOUS, exactly how I wish mine turned out. You really nailed the grubby, stained look.
  4. I really like your build, how was the kit? I have read reviews of this one talking about an ill-fitting front windscreen among other things. I would love to add a P-47N to my collection but have held off due to negative reviews of this kit.
  5. I saw the Valkyrie is Ohio many years ago, and remember vividly seeing her for the first time. In fact, she was THE reason I went there! As I walked into the hangar where she was sitting, I felt immediate disappointment as I didn't see her there. A few moments later, I realized I had walked into the hangar under her nose, and when I looked towards the back of the hangar I saw her fuselage, and THEN followed that gorgeous neck all of the way to the nose above me! What a first impression...
  6. I knew those things had to be expensive to fly, but I didn't realize they were that expensive! Any idea what the CPFH is on one of these?
  7. What a treat Chuck, I didn't realize before now that you post your work here! Going waaaaay back to my days over at FSM, your builds always inspired me to do better. Not only are they informative and CRAZY good, but the presentation and anecdotes made for a wonderful read! I am so glad to see you here, and I look forward to more of your work. Okay, back to the thread! Love what you're doing here, amazing attention to detail as always.
  8. Geeez, this guy has a personal air force larger than many third world countries! Thanks for the video, awesome stuff.
  9. Amazing work, I was stunned by those ultra-miniature stencils for the kill markings! Love the filth on the wings, very well done. How did you achieve those dirt effects, and what did you use for the NMF?
  10. Hahaha! Not far from you, 20 minutes west of Madison here!
  11. Enjoying your build here, really wanted one of these kits but couldn't afford it when it came out. I have to say I find the Valkyrie one of the sexiest aircraft ever to take flight.
  12. Another one signed on Tom, you're doing a magnificent job so far and I plan to steal borrow your tips here. I have the Hobby Boss 1/48 A6-A kit to build, in honor of a man shot down in one in January '69. I have worn a POW/MIA bracelet with his name on it for nearly 30 years, and have wanted to honor him by building this kit. His name was Capt. Edwin J. Fickler, VMA(AW)-242. Capt. Edwin J. Fickler MIA
  13. I just read through your thread, and like the others I am very impressed with your work! Can I ask how you achieved such a smooth glossy finish on the other two models you posted?
  14. Thirded! What an amazing day, having never heard of that museum I have added it to my "need to go here" list.
  15. Very impressive work Chris, I am really enjoying watching your build. Looking forward to the next set of progress pics!
  16. VERY impressive work, love the weathering! Especially the little details like the faded propeller blades with fresh oil splashes, and those exhaust stains - just right! Love this one.
  17. WOOHOO IT'S A BIRTHDAY FOR MARU!!! Hope you had a very special day filled with joy and happiness my friend. I'll hoist one in your honor!
  18. Funny this topic came up today! I received a Tamiya A6M2 today from a seller in Asia and I was initially surprised it wasn't shrinkwrapped. At least now I know it is a normal thing.
  19. I think they've watched too many of those "F-15 Unrestricted Climb" videos on YouTube LOL. Nice takeoff though!
  20. No, wasn't me. I just noticed the painting credit, must be another modeler who goes by Daywalker.
  21. Maybe an early P-38 since they have the Allison engine already?
