  5. Hello all For quite some time i want to build a Bf 109T and soo far i managed to find two conversion sets, one from Alley Cat the other fom Wolfpack. Both will cost me roughly the same and the review of the Alley Cat set i saw here on LSP. What bothers me is that Wolfpack set seems to be more simpler to build than the Alley Cat one and since my unexperience with cutting plastic and work with resin i think wolpack is a better solution. On the other hand with Alley Cat u get scriber for uper wing panels and fuel tank not to mention more decal options So did any of you used this wolpack set and what is your impressions on it. Here is the link for wolfpack set on lucky models : http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=WP-D32009 Dejan
  6. Hello Tim Yes there was Bf 109G-14AS/U4 Its armament was 2xMG131 and 1xMK108. There was 300 MG131 round per gun and 65 round for MK108 was found to be very unreliable and prone to jaming. Also there is a mention of using MK103 so plane was designated Bf 109G-14AS/U6 but as far as I know that is not conmired . Hope this helps a bit Dejan
  7. Perfectly worn out Cat from Hell!!! Dejan
  8. As far as I know no Bf 109F-2 carried gunpods but F-4 did for sure. Some 240 aircraft where produced in 1942 by Wiener Neustadter Flugzeugwerke designated as Bf 109F-4/R1. R1 was provision for installation of two MG151/15 cannons in underwing gondolas. It was very rare and not all R1 designated planes carried gondolas. There where only three Gruppen known to use MG151/15 gondolas operationally, I./JG52, I./JG3 and III./JG3. There are some nice photos of Bf 109F-4/R1 in Schaeffer's Messerschmitt B109 F,G & K book. Hope this helps a bit P.S. Just saw two mistakes at the instructions,,,air scoops on enginge that should not be there before the g version and square wheel bay that instead should be rounded. Dejan
  9. Finaly some new mages on Trumpeter site. 12. Hannak's machine, when he was lost, was Bf 109G-6 WNr. 18046 with standard factory delivery codes white GP+IZ. Aperantly he was taken prisoner after your dad and his fellow solders captured Oblt.Hannak after emergency landing beacose of the engine damage during recon sortie, near Luqa, Malta. Now i find two dates for em.landing, 04/05/43 and 05/05/43. I belive Your date is correct.... So.......can i get now that Nestle ice cream Dejan
  13. Thx Tim.. So will try it definetly...we will see results
  14. Hm...interesting So..I gues time frame for your diorama will be at least 12/04/1943 beacose at that date he recorded 2 spits shoot down over S. Cape Passero Sicily. He was flying with 7./JG27 at that time(transfered from JG77). But so far cant dig out single photo of his plane...will have to sniff through my books at home... Dejan
  15. Hello all It might be stupid question but here we go ... I started Hasegawa FW190A-5 and wanted to out some seat belts in it. Since I have Trumpeter Me262 waiting to be built i notice it has one set of belts more than neded. So i ask is it ok to use those on Hasegawa kit, i mean is it same belts used on all luftwaffe fighters or there is some diference ??? Thx Dejan
  16. Hello all In Luftwaffe Fighter Aircraft in Profile: (Schiffer Military History Book) by authors Christer Bergstrom and Claes Sundin the first profile given is Trutlofts red 1 with picture of a whole aircraft. They did it in RLM 70/71/65 same as Eduard but with RLM02 gun ports on the top of the engine. In John Weals Bf 109D/E Aces 1939/41on page 61 colour profile No.29 same aircraft is given. it is sad plane is in standard aqutmn 1939 camuflage. Unlike Bergstrom and Sundin gun ports are RLM65 same as Eduard. In Luftwaffe Colours Jagdwaffe - Blitzkrieg & Sitzkrieg Poland And France 1939 - 1940 published by Classic Publication there is a picture of Trutlofts red 1 ( no colour profile ) on page 233 and caption state that uper color is only RLM70 with bottom in RLM65. Also state gun ports in yelow!!! I am sorry if i make more confusion with this than help. Dejan
