Steve, a short, but probably unhelpful opinion would be 'sparse'. Some years ago I did start to detail one - scratched interior framework, etc then put it aside. Now I can't find the damn thing anywhere! Have fun with it! Adrian

Hi Kev! I have to agree with Dave... you're being WAY too hard on yourself. I'd be proud to call that cockpit mine I must say that I find your 109 build very inspiring! I have a great many plans for a great many models - but after assembling all the items for a build, sometimes a kind of paralysis sets in that now I've spent all that moolah I'd better not stuff it up. But your example of 'having a go' has convinced me that its ok to use my Kinetic Sabre for the RAF build, and to risk masking and airbrushing all the markings (because there's no decal set available). I was going to cop out and build a Revell Typhoon OOB, but not now... Thanks and all kudos to you! Adrian

Afternoon all! I've just been researching details on the web regarding the RAF Sabre Mk4 for a build using the Kinetic F86F-30 and my head is still spinning! If someone who knows far more about F86s than me (not difficult ) can confirm that the hardedge wing is correct (no slats, small fence and ailerons extend to wingtip)? The Kinetic wing seems to be correct with the exception of the ailerons (easily fixed). Are there any other tweaks to look out for? Adrian P.S. I know I should buy some decent reference material, but I have a problem in paying out for a book or books that I'm only going to use once.

Hi Darin, thanks for the extremely helpful info. Just in case anyone is considering using a product called "Lazertran" - DON'T! The main claim to fame about this product is that it doesn't require any top fixative coating, just print the sheet, let dry then apply. Unfortunately the trade-off for this "feature" is that the material is way too thick to use as decals - there is an obvious edge to the decal film when applied that is impossible to disguise. Adrian
