Started modelling at around 7yrs old, and worked on both plastic and scale flying models for several years. Designed numerous scale models and gliders whilst trying to better my plastic skills. Left the hobby around 1994 and returned, to begin wooden ship modelling in 2001, founding Model Ship World in 2006.
Decided to start building in plastic again about 2008, starting Scale Plastic and Rail, and later being a member of the team that founded Large Scale Modeller. My main interests are World War 1 aviation, and some of the more unusual aspects of World War 2 aviation. I'm no rivet counter, but like to pack out models with resin and etch as much as I possibly can, including extra detailing, riveting etc. Occasionally get the chance to add some scratch build stuff too.
I primarily work in 1:32 scale, although I do occasionally model smaller scales too, plus Sci-Fi.
I currently write modelling articles for three Doolittle Media titles; Military Illustrated Modeller, Tamiya Model Magazine International, and Model Airplane International, as well as being the author for Building the Revell Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IIa; an ADH/Doolittle-released book.
