  1. Amazing work, love it. I really do like these WW1 builds & I have to try one one day but the rigging puts me off. Well done mate, superb work. Martin
  2. Many thanks everyone for all the great comments. Happy modelling, Martin
  3. Yes, these are the tracks that came with the kit. A pain to put together, especially as its the 1st time I've used the Dragon Magic track system but they look the part when finished Happy modelling Martin
  4. Heres the last one for a while, Hasegawa's old Ki-43 Oscar. This kit goes together like a dream & it was built OOB but I rescribed the raised detail & in a massive 1st for me all the markings are masked & painted on. Hope you like it. The model was coated all over with various shades of Alclad (no primer used) & then everything else was masked over the top of the Alclad. Thx for looking everyone. Happy modelling, Martin
  5. Thx guys & mines a special P-51A that was upgraded to a B.................maybe.............ok maybe not lol Martin
  6. Thx guys & yea, all built since September & still have another build to post tommorrow, the Hasegawa 1/32 Ki-43 I was having a stash clearout & listed them all on EBay as kits but no takers despoite good prices so I thought what the hell, build em quick, play around with them & then sell the finished models on EBay plus I kept just drooling over the stash, opening the boxes & looking at the contents etc etc & then realised I like building a lot more than I do collecting them if you know what I mean. I showed the Hunter in the Ajax, Ontario show & it took the silver medal & my 1/72 Halifax took the bronze medal in its class so was very pleased with those results as there some amazing buillds on show that day in all categories. Martin
  7. Just the box markings Phase, I believe theres markings for 3 different aircraft in the Model craft box I picked up 3 of these kits for $30 for all 3 on Ebay some time ago, still have 2 to build...................good parctise for the Fonderie 1/48 Halifax thats waiting in the wings. Martin
  8. And heres another. Its the Hobbycraft P-51B with Aries cockpit & AM decals for an RAF machine. I pplayed around with weathering & oil streaking on this build for a bit light entertainment so I know its overdone a bit but hey ho........................ Heres the piccies Thanks for looking everyone Happy modelling Martin
  9. Evening all, Yet another from the last couple of months in "just build" period. Revells great Hawker Hunter with the CE? resin cockpit installed & some AM decals as the Revell ones were toast. Heres the piccies Happy modelling everyone Martin
  10. Heres the next one in my "just build" period of the last couple of months. Its the Modelcraft (Matchbox) Halifax with panel lines rescribed where they were raised on the kit. I also scratchbuilt the cockpt interior as the kit one is pretty much non existent. Heres the piccies Happy modelling everyone Martin
  11. After constantly just picking up boxes & looking at the plastic in my stash I thought "why dont you just build the damn things, that is why you bought them is it not?" Sooooooo, for the last couple of months that is exactly what I have been doing.................building models..............& here is one of them. Yes, the magic tracks are a pian to put together but the final result is pretty good. I wish my photograhy skills were better though, how do you some of you guys have pictures in those pretty blue backgrounds? Anyways here's the piccies Thanks for looking, now go build models......... Happy modelling Martin
  12. Thanks for the offer Jack but I've spent my money on the new Revell HE219 BUT I have some things lsited on Ebay & if they bring in enough I may well contact you, Happy modelling, Martin
  13. Hi Cal, thanks for the link, its a French guy who has them listed & I'm just trying to pluck up the courage to tackle it. Happy modelling, Martin
  14. Thx for the tip Dave but just looked on their website & nothing doing, tried a number of searches but nothing cam up. Martin
  15. Hmmm, maybe not then unless I can get hold of one for a very, very good price in which case I will partake & probably scratch a new cockpit to correct depth etc etc Happy modelling, Martin
  16. Thx for the reply Dave, Oh no, I really fancied a BIG scale P-40 - I know it may be a big list but what are the major things wrong with the kit? Martin
  17. Does anyone know of anyone/store who is still selling this kit as I want to get hold of one. EBay is only showing the P-47 but no P-40's listed. Thanks in advance & happy modelling Martin
  18. Thx Ray, that makes me feel a bit better that its not completely off base Wings are on, fues is closed up so will be ready for paint very soon & then I'll post some pictures. Happy modelling everyone, Martin
  19. And don't forget the buccaneer guys ........................
  20. Hi Ray, Its actually the "Mah sweet Eva Lee" boxing for Operation Torch which has the Allison engine so completely wrong for an RAF aircraft buy hey ho, it'll look like an RAF Mustang when finished & I'll be using the build to try out some weathering techniques. Happy modelling, Martin
  21. Fantastic models, really well done mate, thats quite the collection you've built up. Happy modelling Martin
  22. Thats ok Richard, thx for the additionaL info & no, I didnt realise about the different noses, fuselage etc Its a cheap kit for me with some AM parts that I already had along with some RAF mustang decals that were in the stash so I just thought why not, just build this one for fun so yea, its a mental health build but I'd seen pictures of all the wheelbay colours etc & thought I'd ask the question. I suppose it seems strange that I'm concerned about wheelbay colours on a mental health build but not concerned about the correct nose shape etc but thats just the way I am sometimes lol I'll post pic's when I've finished it :-) You really should try beer in the place of the cold remedy, I find it works much better.....................for me anyway lol Thx to everyone who has replied so far. On another note if anyone has pics from the Ajax show last weekend can you please post them, I had to leave before the awards.................. Happy modelling, Martin
  23. Thx Tim. Phase - I'm just using the kit nose, I'm not sure if its fully accurate or not for the B model I'm doing but it'll do as I dont have anything else. This is supposed to be a "quick, mental health" build for me but the cockpit & wheelbay were so bad in this kit OOB that I had to replace them. Happy modelling, Martin
  24. Thx for the confirmation Tim, was just puzzled why so many models show completely painted bays. Zinc chromate rear spar with aluminum bay it is then. Happy modelling guys Martin
