Victory is a major undertaking. I would suggest you try a true wood ship model. You have the skills for sure, maybe even more so by making a plastic kit work with wood kit methods. You would ace a wood kit, it’s not a huge leap from where you are now…….

That's kind of disappointing to hear. I am starting it today but I suspected the CGI would be an issue. I don't think the industry has mastered WW2 flying CGI

Edgar and I had a conversation here at LSP about 15 years ago regarding gear color. I'll see if I can find that when I get a free minute. You may also find info on some of his online documents.

They are air. They operate by sqeezing the hand lever on the spade hand grip on the control column, moving the rudder peddles created differential pressure to either wheel.

The way I understand it regarding colors is that it depends on the airframe and time. I've seen three variants. Everything in silver. Gear leg silver, doors and wells in underside color Everything underside color As for the line, I believe you are referring to the brake air line.

You don't need a lathe to turn masts. I use an electric drill and sand paper held in my hand. It works well.

Just the other day I was on the hwy heading back to Calgary and passed a Tesla. It was about minus 25degC. The guy was wearing a wool toque, scarf, mitts and a heavy coat. He really looked like he was having a lot of fun in his Tesla.

Not in a million years would I ever own one. Not here in Canada. It's too cold here (minus 40F last week) and distances between cities is to great. The entire UK is only 7/8th the size of just my province of Alberta.

It's better here, not often do we see the same temp in F and C, minus 40 at night the past few nights. Minus 22F tonight.

I have no idea, Like Kev, I started around 5 years old. I would guess on the order of 100's and that doesn't include R/C planes or wooden ships.

It's amazing to see zero PPE in a manufacturing plant. No safety glasses, no gloves, no safety footwear, absolutely nothing.

Unfortunately I don't order from any US suppliers anymore. Postage to Canada has gotten crazy expensive.
