You should be more cautious with new thread titles like this one as it can cause a heart attack!

We've been waiting for a new 1:32 Streak and Flash ever since Kittyhawk said it would do them. Whether Zimi pick up the baton, who knows?
Italeri has the potential to do these subjects and would do a good job.

And yes, I want both in 1:32 scale

I'll apologise in advance if this has already been talked about . Who would be up for a big scale F-84F / RF-84 IM ? Italeri, can you hear me knocking?

Price when it came out?  I swear I remember paying just over $225, but maybe I’m in denial.

Prices on all kits and accessories are going through the roof it seems . I love this hobby but it's almost becoming a " rich mans " hobby . You definitely have to shop around these days .

    This kit is the old Hasegawa in a Revell box;

I used the kit decals out of this boxing!

There are two options besides the Swiss aircraft, both in agressor schemes and I´m pretty sure one of the options was Alconbury.

AIMS only sell via Hannants, and they aren't listed there yet.

kalashnikov-47 reacted to paul fisher in Macchi Fighters book.....Oh, my!
Not really sure where to put this as I've never reviewed a product before but the new book from Crecy on the Macchi 200, 202 and 205 fighters arrived yesterday and simply blew me out of my socks.I was deeply into building Italian aircraft in 1/72 scale back in the 70's and 80's when I could see that well and lately my interest in trying again in a larger scale has been growing so I went ahead and bought this book. We had nothing even remotely this good to go from and the Italian publications of the day suffered from poor photo reproduction and paper.

I was pleasantly surprised at the depth of detailed information, drawings and best of all clear period photos that really show the design and construction of these beautiful 'planes .One thing I note in particular is that none of the paint applications are the same from 'plane to 'plane, even in the same scheme the motions of the human arm and hand are visible in the random application of the markings.A feast for the smoke ring aficionado.I am already searching for a better airbrush!

Since losing a fifty year accumulation of books  a few years ago I have been extremely picky about what I have replaced. This is certainly a book worth the modest price and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to know more about these gorgeous aircraft.

    Best,

Never mind a new kit as welcome as it would be. I would be happy if they just scaled these up to 1/32. (And correctly size them for the Tamiya kit)

Sadly I don’t buy Airfix because Airfix have never done anything in 1/32 with wings on them. They have a grand tradition of vehicles in 1/32 but no aeroplanes and, sadly, no airfield support vehicles in 1/32 either…

    Kind regards,

The only thing we can say for sure is that there is more chance of seeing a Me 410 than an Amiot 143 (and I love the Amiot 143 )

Great.. hope they eventually make the RF-84 variant. Otherwise I will have to finally buy a 3D printer and learn how to design parts myself

My enthusiasm is tempered only by the price and long wait for the goods, which is why I skipped on the Draken — and now another favourite Cold War jet. Aaagh!
I'll enjoy seeing these built — by others.

I was reading Vladimir Salc's editorial in the January issue of Info Eduard, wherein he discusses the success of Eduard's 1/72 and 1/48 Bf 109 kits. Eduard has covered most of the sub types in the smaller scales and has abandoned the Buchon, but may not be done with the Bf 109, and Salc states, "I might have to change my mind about 1:32..."

Yes, a decent 1/32 MiG-17 is sorely needed. Served with something like 40 air forces, lots of different and unique schemes…

They could do a MiG-15 and/or MiG-17.  There is not a single good -17 available on the market, and the -15 is (a) resin, (b) expensive, and (c) apparently not built much, considering how few HpH kits I've ever seen completed.
