Mark P got a reaction from RBrown in Suggestion of 1:32 Sunderland and Halifax from HK Models
Yes, the Halifax largely overlooked. FWIU, statistically crew survival rate was higher in the Halifax than the Lancaster due to the robust nature of its fuselage. A 48th or New Tool 72nd offering is needed. I'm sorry, but 32nd to large for me.

Yeah, I'm not buying this one. Well, if they get released, I'll buy them! But I'm not buying the rumour.

If you've never watched the Halifax documentary on Netflix (or is it Amazon Prime?), do so. It will make you fall in love with that aircraft even more. With that being said, I want one. Heck, I'd be happy with one in 1/48 that isn't made by Fonderie Miniatures.

I’d love to see either, but particularly a Halibag. Such an underrated aircraft, forever in the shadow of the Lancaster..

Mark P got a reaction from LSP_K2 in Interesting new book on FW 190 camouflage
The second volume has been out for awhile now. I believe it was an Amazon purchase.
I have both titles so far and my only gripe is the lack of proper proofing for the self-published series. I see a number of errors. However, this doesn't take away from the important historical information provided. It is just that the errors take away from the books and "cheapen" the effort in my opinion. That won't prevent me from adding all the titles in the future as I do support this work.

Mark P got a reaction from Vitor Costa in Trumpeter's BF-109, your opinions please?
Are we talking 32nd or 24th scale? Or, does all this apply to both scales?

They are the exact copies of each other, following the same errors.

Did anyone notice the Toby Mug used as a prop in the last episode? Nice detail that pays homage to Twelve O'clock High.

Mark P reacted to thierry laurent in Macchi Fighters book.....Oh, my!
Well I got one less than a month ago! I paid it the double of the initial price but again I cannot complain as it looks quite difficult to find any of the OOP ones for less than 100€!
I used Find-more-books and Eurobuch. I found 11 of the Classic OOP books in less than a month while staying far from the crazy prices. So it IS possible to find them but you need to look for them everywhere daily on sales platforms such as ebay, Amazon, Abebooks and others like Rakuten plus check all the major resellers.

Mark P reacted to thierry laurent in Luftwaffe Classic, Classic colours and other Midland/Ian Allan/Hikoki/Crecy/Chandos Luftwaffe books
Thanks to that thread, I finally found most of the missing links AND for acceptable prices!
Strangely the three I could not find were recent releases (Do17, Do215 and V2). Only one is available on Abebooks but for a stratospheric price! Hopefully Crecy will have the good idea to re-release them.
This is a very good question Mark. According to the authors, the contents were even delivered to the editor. God knows why that one never saw the light as it looked very promising!?!
