  1. I feel your pain. Like Veruca Salt with the goose that lays golden eggs from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I WANT IT NOW!!!
  2. How does the noise level in landing compare to the Harrier? I can still remember seeing two AV-8Bs land at an airshow 20 years ago and my ears felt like they were going to explode
  3. Since Floyd isn't a member here (or he is but rarely logs in), I offered to share his news from his Facebook post. "Sneak Peak: HH-60J/MH-60T Conversion for the Kitty Hawk HH-60H. CAD done by Mike Swinburne and decals done by the faithful Mason Doupnik. Hopefully coming to the IPMS/USA National Convention. A lot of things have to align to make this happen. Fingers crossed" I'm really excited for this one! Floyd got me roped in to do the CAD designs for the new parts; someone else had already designed the radome and short fuel tank. Some parts are not shown in the attachments including a fully new control panel for the -T, parts to add to the existing kit panel for the -J, the older style flir dome and SX16 searchlight. Maybe additional items if needed too.
  4. How much needs to change to backdate the -G to an -F? Is the cockpit section shorter? Or will that large gap at the back be due to the canopy fitting the revell kit shape?
  5. There was a wild hare on eBay a day or two ago but $950 buy it now or starting bid…. You gotta really want one badly for that. Then again, I’ve owned a few ATTIC kits years ago and they were all frigging atrocious, so yeah I’d argue 950 may be worth it lol
  6. How much would they need to change to make an F-35C from the existing molds? Would it only be larger wings and the tail hook fairing that would be new? I keep chuckling at the graphics of a -C in full air to air beast mode with 12 AIM-120s and two sidewinders which are probably just for decoration
  7. Update: I’ve just see. That the Italian Navy will have their first F-35B on their Cavour aircraft carrier in the next few days. If anything, maybe that could be the detail that pushes Italeri to produce the variant for us styrene addicts
  8. Been wondering that myself recently too! With Switzerland just announcing their purchase of the F-35A and with US and Brit F-35Bs both flying strike missions off the QE last week (has Israel also used their A’s in combat already as well?), I am thinking these types of things will help improve our chances of the kits release. More (boring) gray marking options and maybe, just maybe, a few mission markings to add to the decal sheet can’t hurt. Now if someone would just add some freaking color to their jets!!
  9. If you have a hobby shop nearby that deals with radio control, especially aircraft, give them a call. Carbon fiber rods are common in RC planes
  10. If anyone is considering buying the new Whirlwind and wants to save a few bucks, there's one at SprueBros for $75.99 with just a bit of box damage in the corner. If I hadn't already bought one, I'd be all over this - great deal. https://spruebrothers.com/onek00628-1-32-special-hobby-westland-whirlwind-f-mk-i-cannon-fighter-sph32047-damaged-box/
  11. Yes, have four printers here (2 resin and 2 FDM / plastic) Shoot me a message... I'm overloaded with design work for two aftermarket manufacturers but if it's a part I might use, I will certainly consider adding something to the list
  12. Paul can you share a pic please of the scoop you’re talking about? Might be an easy thing to throw into cad and print in resin
  13. Thanks guys. Had never seen single seaters with CFTs before and hadn’t even thought to look for something like that. Looks like Israel had/has them for single seater use too
  14. Since it looks like I can’t build an F-15D from the Tamiya Strike Eagle without sourcing a new lower fuselage without CFTs, how good is the 1/32 revell two seat Eagle? Got my eyes on a JASDF aggressor build. Thanks Mike
  15. Excellent, thanks! I had already spied the decal sheet... Off to guy spend a few dollars now
  16. As usual I'm a few years late on trying to buy a kit, it would seem - specifically the Fly Hurricane IIc. I don't know enough about the variants to make assumptions, but I want to build Keith Park's mk.IIc, OK2 on Malta. Seems the aircraft had the standard air filter and not a tropical one. Will other versions of Fly's hurricane series work to build this aircraft? Thanks!
  17. Looks superb! Dunno how I missed this thread until now. I wish they had released this before I stopped flying R/C. I had Motion RC's TA-152 and loved flying that
  18. I haven't seen them even hint at this release in several years time. I don't have high hopes, but man oh man I hope they go through with the scaled-up release. By the way - welcome to the forums!
  19. Beaut, thanks! I saw your build (it's gorgeous) but missed that two of the missiles came from your mirage kit.
  20. I understand the Storm Shadow is based off the Apache missle, and I've noticed that my KH Mirage 2000 kits include the Apaches. Are there visible differences between the two missiles? I'd love to be able to stick a pair of Storm Shadows under the Tornado that I'll be building before long. Thanks
  21. There are some very expensive pre-made display models, but unfortunately no kits of the modern boats. About 13 years ago I had a radio control model of the kiwi yacht that won the cup in ‘96 but I haven’t even seen that for sale since.
  22. Matt - yes they are, they’ve shown a nearly complete rendering on Facebook of the Dart nose
  23. Thanks guys! No interest in building the SH kit but if I see one going cheap I might pick one up for the decals and a few parts
  24. Can anyone here please help shed some light on what exterior changes would be needed (if any?) if I wanted to build a P-400 from the Kittyhawk P-39N/Q? thanks!
