  1. Good suggestion by the way... kills the joy however!
  2. I built it several years ago when the kit first came out, even before correction sets showed up. Not a bad kit overall, enjoyed building it but would not do it again now without proper aftermarket pieces. Scratchbuilding the intake is beyond my modelling skills so I definitely not start without a proper inake today, while dealing with the canopy would be easier. I would on the other hand agree it may be easier if 3D printing support is available. And if the said shape issue is not really an issue for you, I'd say just go ahead.
  3. The shipping of the kits would start on 7th, according to the project update I received about ten days ago.
  4. Is this the old Fliegerhorst one or have I missed a recent 1/32 AlphaJet
  5. I had somehow missed the Gina from DayGlo, it appears to be a nice kit. I hope someone else produces another one in 1/32, if DayGlo should not return someday.
  6. Incorrect shape from every angle. Doing it so false in today's technological capabilities must be more difficult than doing it right! Hats off to the tooling craftsmen of '70s and '80s, who had to do almost everything by hand and still were able to achieve way better and accurate shapes than this, Hasegawa kits being good examples.
  7. Carefully reading every word of it, thanks Thierry! Sanding had been my concern when I first had heard about 3D printed parts coming into our world but it is not that scary and not at all if the parts are large as the fuselage parts of the Learjet, which are indeed finely produced. I would suggest finer sandpaper, 800 to 1000 grits and sanding better be applied with water. The 3D resin is easy to smooth and if the kit calls a metallic or glossy finish proceed with 2000 grit sandpaper plus cotton cloth, followed by a coat of primer. You'll have a perfect smooth and shiny surface.
  8. I don't think it is. Looking at the navigation lights position on the wings to me it seems like the AJ version with Maverick missiles whereas the Jetmads initial release was the JA with all air to air missiles. There is also one vortex generator each on the canards and the JA would have two. Besides Jetmads kit's full riveting on the wings is not here too, a prominent feature of the kit imo. This is possibly the Special Hobby / Tarangus offering in 1/48.
  9. That's cool Aigore! Bofors M70 launcher and BK90 Mjölner would be great!! I don't know if these can be carried by the AJ, maybe AJS is the correct variant to carry those but they would look great anyway. Rb15 missile would be a bonus too, though this should be a AJS item if I'm not wrong.
  10. That may not be the case. I placed my preorder in the first minute and my order number is 11967. I do not know where I am in the line, I did not ask and I would expect to be one of the earliest, but looking at my number I can say for sure that the preorder numbering does not start from 12000.
  11. Absolute beauty! The paint work and weathering look so convincing!
  12. The F-15 is a striking one and so are others, ones on the shelf!
  13. I've logged a reservation for two kits, maybe will add another one once the preorders start. The JA37 was 192$ when it came out in 2020 and this one is 288$, 50% higher. Reasonable increase, considering all that happened in these three years and price of everything gone wild.
  14. Yeah, absorbing it since yesterday. Some ups but many lows, only crumbles of what they used to be. I think I'll stick to the music of a few decades back as I do with the aeroplanes Look at that Kfir and how cool it looks! They don't design such good looking aircraft nowadays.
  15. "want to do it right" is a fair excuse. Most of such production sit and wait in my stash anyway. I would way prefer they be well and correctly produced rather than have them at once but as incomplete or wrong.
  16. The instruction booklet of the previous JA37 edition had a few pages of real-sized images of the model in 1/32 and for me that worked great for a template of the splinter camo (or the one officially called "Fields and Meadows" camouflage). No idea if Jetmads will give the same pages in the booklet again (and I'm assuming they should) but you may also choose to wait until your kit arrives and see if you'll find it workable before you give no less than 50-60 $ for a masking set.
  17. I would love to have the 1/32 V-22. The problem is... well... unfortunately the inaccuracies hurt my eyes
  18. Nothing compares to a well-built F-4 and yours is absolutely one of them.
  19. That is a stunning beauty!! Every piece is an artwork!
