  1. Appreciate that insight! It's details like this that really help me make my decisions about what colors to use.
  2. Yes, that what it looks like to me. I'm thinking the same thing as well with the color coding - from looking at other photos, it looks like Junkers went predominantly with brown, with few exceptions. As for the location of the throttles, I'm thinking that the taller ones are the throttles, and the shorter ones are prop RPM levers. You can just make out one of them in the color photo, and then you can see it really well in the black and white photo. My conclusion at this point is that, since we know the throttles were brown on the A-1 series (based on the restored example, WerkNummer 088119), they were also brown on the A-4 series and other variants. Working off of that assumption, since the prop and RPM levers in the USAF's D-1 plane are all the same shade, they then should all be brown.
  3. Thank you, I will be sure to check that out! Yes, I'm finding that things like consistent color coding on things like throttles, water radiator handles, etc., seem to vary among the various manufacturers. I've tried to do some color analysis of the available images from the USAF's Ju 88 D, and they seem to indicate that the throttles were brown in color:
  4. In this photo, right below the green radiator handles are three pump handles. Does anyone have more detailed images of how those handles were colored?
  5. Hello all, The detailed photos of the restored Ju 88 A-1 here have been a great help to me, but there is one thing about the Ju 88 A-4 that I've still not been able to figure out: what color were the handles on the prop RPM levers? I've seen the photos of the USAF's Ju 88 D, but that plane's interior is in rough shape, so I cannot make out what color they are. Thanks!
