Hi kits are looking great, as Uncarina said some oil paint washes would look great on the stowage and on the wooden crates and handles you could use some burnt sienna for the wood grain. Oils are best used on a semi gloss or gloss coat as you can move them around better. I am loving all the photos from WW2. Cheers.

Wow thats a fantastic looking model, well done. Cheers. -
Hi I have the concord Sherman at war part 2 which has some photos of easy eights and thunderbolt VII the same as your second photo, I might go the easy way to and just add some armor to front and maybe side of turret. It will be interesting to see if any aftermarket will be out for this tank at all. Cheers.

Hi, mine turned up yesterday arvo and it is a stunning kit and my pick for kit of the year. For Thunderbolt seven will need to build the armor from card and need a 30 cal and mount for turret plus decals, the tracks are the only part I know of that are inacurate, something to do with the chevron and 2 of the braces not touching it, I not worried about it. The I Love kit one with all the extras apparently has some problems with the turret and has a lot of pieces to make one tracklink 10 or 12 I think, the cheaper version is a copy of a RC tank. Cheers.

Iwata cleaning brush damage to airbrush.
TankBuster replied to TankBuster's topic in Painting & Finishing
Hi, wow thanks everyone for the replies. I use Acetone and Tamiya airbrush cleaner to clean it out, Acetone first for a few flushes then cleaner to finish off. I was worried that it may cause issues later on as brush works fine now. Its great to have a second opinion sometimes. Cheers Bob. -

Iwata cleaning brush damage to airbrush.
TankBuster replied to TankBuster's topic in Painting & Finishing
Hi, thanks for the reply that is good news. I wasn't to sure wether it would effect performace or not. It would of been nice if Iwata could of told me that. Cheers Bob. -
Hi, 2 years ago I brought an Iwata cleaning kit for my 4 Iwata airbrushes, it contained a brush for cleaning the cup which seems to be nylon or something similar. Looking at my HP-Cplus closely l have noticed that the brush has stripped the chrome from the bottom of the cup and left scratches, also 2 of my other brushes a HP-Bplus and a Revolution HP-CR have also been damaged by this cleaning brush, I have contacted Iwata and they said a rep would be in touch but I have heard nothing and now they dont answer me at all. I really dont know what to do now about this problem now so thought I would post here to get some other opinions on wether they have a case to answer to and to see where I can take this further or just forget about it, and of course I dont use the cleaning brush anymore. Cheers Bob.
