I have really been Waiting for this and I ordered one as soon as it was released.. Now i can finally build my two seater. I went to buy the add on parts from BAM models but he sadly close down in the mean time Niels

In all their kits ;-)

Is it the one at the top you mean?.. It looks like a AN/ALQ-131 ECM Pod

Well you wanted a WAR HUD .. The Tamiya kit does not have any details behind the seat. It does not have the vents in the IP cover. The "spider" lock handle for the canopy is missing. The two canopy handles are not included..The panels and dials look nice but there is quite a bit missing overall. I did not mention the rather poor seat as you already have the Wolfpack seats.. The Aires set is an improvement for sure. It fits quite well but there is some cutting and sanding involved of course

Oh, oh, new Reskit Update with Jammers and Rotors
Zola25 replied to Bill Cross's topic in LSP Discussion
What I really like as well is that all their stuff just fits into the kit it was intended for - without much effort. They have really changed the game compared to the resin companies like Aires. Don´t get me wrong, I love a lot of the stuff from Aires and the likes, but 3D printing just allows for much more precision. I hope we will see much more stuff in the area of Landing Gears, Wheel Wells and Cockpits for jets in the future. /Niels -

I have really been looking forward to their Mirage 2000 two-seater cockpit. That just looks incredible.. The Tarhe rotor hub looks amazing too.. -
Hope this is the first step towards a modern day Carrier in 1/200.. That would be an epic model

That is one of the great things with Jim - he is always prepared to upscale his masking sets to 1/32. I have bought several sheets that way. They do not always fit 100% but for the price it is no hassle at all to make them fit - expensive sets from other providers never fit 100% either. /Niels

If I play music while modelling its usually on the heavier side.. Complete silence drives me crazy. It also makes me hear my tinnitus so it feels better drowing it out with more of the music that gave it to me in the first place Motörhead, Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Tool, Rammstein, White Stripes, Soundgarden... You get the picture /Niels

Tamiya XF-66 is the equivalent to FS 35237 "Medium Grey" - that would be MRP-105 "Navy Grey-Blue" However - Tamiya XF-66 seems to be more blue to my eyes but that shoud be the correct color according to the conversion table I found. /Niels

I reached out to Jetmads for a couple of questions related to what will be included in the Draken kit. As always they were happy to answer them.. I really love building 1/32 models of Royal Danish Airforce aircraft (for obvious reasons I guess..) so I asked about some specific, and very obvious, features on RDAF Drakens. Most Drakens in RDAF service were converted into RF versions with one of a few special nose sections (see below) so naturally I was curious if they would include one of these nose sections. The answer was unfortunately "No" - only the F-35 "pointy" nose will be included in this release. However they did say this.... "While they are visually more attractive, recce noses and most possibly a Danish F-35 nose version will be addressed in future releases of the Draken. We would like to hereby note that a separate “Special Scheme Drakens” release is also being considered, however the schedule is yet to be decided." - Yaiks! Take more of my money please I also asked about the external fuel tanks. RDAF Drakens only flew with the oval shaped fuel tanks as opposed to the more pointy versions used by other operators. I am really happy they confirmed that the oval tanks will be included in the kit along with the other styles /Niels

F-16C Aggressor 86-273 - What Block?
Zola25 replied to VintageEagle's topic in Aviation Discussion & Research
Yeah, maybe I should have phrased it differently. I meant to say that 173 Block 30 (A-C) had the NSI/GE configuration before production was switched to MCID/GE config. Which I believe was named Block 30D -

You should know ;-) We can all need a lesson in humility once in a while - I should have checked references before blurting out. I can see that a total of 173 F-16C/D Block 30 were produced. They all had NSI/GE combo -

I actually thought those were the same airframes but you are correct. I believe there were a total of 18 F-16N´s and 4 TF-16N´s. I am not sure how many IAF aircraft were delivered as Block30A-C but they were all with NSI intake and GE engines as you say. From Block 30D and onwards all airframes with GE engines were made with MCID intakes -

Zola25 replied to VintageEagle's topic in Aviation Discussion & Research
Both pictures of 86-273 above show an F-16 with NSI intake and a PW engine The only F-16´s with an NSI intake and GE engines were the F-16N. If I am not mistaken, it was this very combo that led to the design of the MCID intake. The relocation of the landing gear lights from the main struts to the nose gear door, was a result of aircraft being able to carry targeting pods on the intake. These pods obstructs the landing lights mounted on the main gear. -
Thanks both - seems pretty simple. /Niels
