Jetmads have an 1/32 F-84F on its way.. I would really love the RF-84 though. It is just a better looking aircraft

Why is the dude 2nd from the left wearing his wings on the right side of his chest?

All Danish pilots wear their name tags and wings like that.. The Pilot in the picture is "PEL". He is a graduate from the National Test Pilot School and spent a few years flying ET-210 as a chase plane for the F-35 program.
He also pilots the Silver Spitfire.. which @kkarlsen is building an amazing model of here: Silver Spitfire

Hi All
Yesterday the Danish government signed a deal to sell the remaining 24 F-16AM / F-16BM´s to Argentina.
19 aircraft have already been pledged to Ukraine and now the remaining fleet has been sold. The deliveries to Argentina will start in late 2025 as more F-35 should have arrived to replace them.
At the ceremony an F-16BM (ET-199) had been painted in Argentinian colors and I thought it could be of interest to modellers and F-16 enthusiast around here to see that.
The news story in Denmark is that the Danish governement was more than willing to donate more jets to Ukraine but at the request of the US Government the jets were now sold to Argentina. Likely in an attempt to avert the sale of JF-17´s or other "eastern" jets that have been rumoured to Argentina

Looks very cool - Love those colors
Those Uprise decals are really nice to work with. I love them too I must admit. The guy who runs it is very open to suggestions. I suggested that he make a couple of Royal Danish Air force special markings in 1/32 so he went and did 3 full sheets for the F-16A and 2 sheets for the F-16B - gotta love that.

That is pretty cool I have to say..
He said he is listening to our wishes so Lets get him to make an M2/M3 Bradley

I just got my F-15C set and they are just super nice. Really detailed.
They seem very sturdy as well.

Thanks
But I was more looking for overall modelling books on ship model building and not vessel specific books as reference material.
Any "Bibles" of model ship building techniques, tips & tricks etc.
Thanks

What! - Ships?
Yup - I have a couple of 1/200 scale ships in my stash as I find the size and detail (and potential) fascinating on these large models.
I am looking for which books are the best out there and worth picking up before jumping into building one of them? Not looking for modelling basics but books that could take these models to the next level would be wlecome.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I was afraid to post in this thread because I thought it would make me look crazy... I feel much better about myself now

Great job on those flood lights - Its really not easy to sand such small parts precisely. I am currently building an F-16AM as well (of course ) but I plan to drill the hole a bit bigger instead this time. Lets see how that goes.
As @geedubelyer mentions above the front part is blanked off, Jake´s amazing book (The Modern Viper Guide) has a couple of great photos on pp107
On that page you can also see that elusive panel actually be present on a Greek F-16.. I am still not sure what determines this panel being there or not??

In 1/32..
7 * Tamiya F-16 kits ( 5 Thunderbirds and 2 C/CJ kits )
8 * Hasegawa Bf109's various versions
+ About 100 more 1/32 kits. All of them bought with the best of intentions to be built "next in line" only to be inspired to do something else

Yes they should be deleted on both sides.
Those position light always gives me problems on the Tamiya kit as they seem to be both too large in diameter and also too thick to fit in the recess. They should be flush with the fuselage. I look forward to hear your experience and solution.

I am sure you have noticed but just in case - the rear most oval shaped access panel is not present on this aircraft but it is on the Tamiya part. I am not sure if it is a Block thing or a Pratt & Whitney thing but this panel does not seem to be there on most earlier block aircraft.

Really nice work as always Chuck!
One piece of advice and I hope its not too late. The Cross Delta Reinforcement plates are really nice and detailed but my experience with them is that you should not trust the "self adhesive" part. After a while they tend to loose the adhesion and come loose. I highly recommend gluing them down. Maybe I got a bad bunch but that is at least my experience.
The stuff from Kopecky @CruZz is just incredibly nice. Some of the best stuff out there. Its almost a shame hanging anything on those rails

Argh! Refuelling, is the bane of my existence currently. With having new controllers and now Track IR, it’s like I’m learning the skill from scratch.
I’m just about proficient with hose and drogue, although my approaches take longer than I’d like.
It’s now boom refuelling with the Viper, and the keeping station, while glancing at the indicator lights, and keeping my reference points in their positions, is a whole new challenge. But it is so incredibly satisfying when you start nailing it
Making the move to VR made a huge difference for me. I know It's not for everyone but it just made everything more natural for me. Especially AAR.. But It's scary how much the different aircraft vary in difficulty. The Harrier is still super hard for me.. Hose and drogue blindfolded is what it feels like!
The Hornet is probably the easiest to learn but all AAR takes a lot of practise. It's very stable and you can see what you are doing the whole time
