Mazi reacted to Nikola Topalov in Revell 1/32 P-51D-5NA Mustang
Well folks, I didn't believe that I will say this after about a year and a half but she is ready for inspection!
OOB with Eduard Look IP and seatbelts.
Painted with Tamiya, Gunze and Vallejo paints.
Weathered with various filters, Tamiya, Ammo and Vallejo washes, Prismacolor silver pencil, AK weathering pencils and Vallejo and Revell pigments.
I am very satisfied with the end result, with a couple of mistakes made which I can live with. I enjoyed the process very much and learned some valuable lessons for the future.
Best,
Nikola

Mazi reacted to Thunnus in 1/32 Special Hobby Hawker Tempest Mk. V - Fairbanks JJ+F
The following photos are of my recently completed build of the 1/32 Special Hobby Hawker Tempest Mk. V "Hi-Tech2" kit. This edition includes a bunch of resin and photoetch enhancements, most notably a very detailed resin depiction of the Napier Sabre engine. I also added the Eduard photoetch brass flaps and used HGW dry transfer for the data stencils. All of the other markings were painted using custom cut masks. The aircraft depicted is JJ+F flown by David C. Fairbanks, an American credited with 15 kills, 14 of which were flying the Tempest.
The complete build can be found at:

Mazi reacted to David Mooney in 1/32 Tamiya Spitfire Mk. VIII
Hello all,
I managed to pick this kit up from a bootfair so i was expecting some issues with bit missing....and it turned out the most of the engine was missing, which wasnt a major drama but it would have been nice to be able to have this opened up.
I used Tamiya paints for this one with MLT and they worked like a dream, then used Mr Colour varnishes to finish it off.
It was straight out of the box with no additions.
All comments are welcome but of note is there is no wire aerial attached due to travelling issues i.e. keep falling off :-)
