  1. Tough one, as there are so many. However, I'll go for: 1) Mosquito - When my late Father went through his National Service in Belgium, he was able to fly as passenger with one of the Belgian fighters who fought against the Nazis from British soil. Funny anectdote: he first asked where my Father lived, then proceeded to fly overhead where my Father saw his mother hanging up the washes. The pilot then proceeded to show my Father where he lived (the other side of the Country) where he invited my Father to visit town (while still in the Aircraft...) 2) Diamond Aircraft Da 62 for its sleek, sexy lines and modern avionics (not to mention the comfort and ability to take on 6 passengers) 3) Aermacchi M-346 Master Fighter Trainer to keep with twin engines but move to more speed...
  2. I had a parcel sent to me from Eastern Europe some time ago. Had to wait for 59 days (tracking showed parcel stuck in Ankara) when the postman handed me the parcel (tracking still showing stuck in Ankara). Just last November I ordered 2 books from Japan and had them sent to my Mother in Belgium. Paid import duties in January and am still waiting to be delivered... so you guys are not alone, and all we can do is attempt to be patient. As they said in Shogun: try to hear the rocks grow
  3. perhaps, but I know from experience that this is a rabbit hole - and one I do not have time to waste on as re-potting season for the Bonsai has begun.
  4. Very nice paint work, however, for me it looks like the spinner is a bit too low (or is this how it should look in hurricanes?) The way it looks now this step above the spinner should generate some unwanted drag...
  5. your fingerprint is well camouflaged! I cannae see it....
  6. perhaps this is a stupid idea, but what about putting the paint in the refrigirator (i.e. where you keep your milk and foodstuffs you plan to eat quickly, not the place where you freeze the things)? Perhaps that will slow down the chemical reaction that leads to the passage of shelf-life-time-thingemything?
  7. Hi Thierry, tried to send you a pm, but it looks like your inbox is full? here is waht I attempted to message to you: I realise you have already made some inroads into this build, but I was thinking the following: I am studying for a BSc in Computer Aided Design and have acces to Solidworks until next summer. If you want I can create some printable files for you of the more challenging components?
  8. I do not mind getting membership of the madness club - in fact, some people might say I got automatic membership at birth
  9. I bought the kit to use the Japanese version. So I thank you in advance for all the hard work on finding the differences (and reporting them).
  10. not at all, but I AM glad I do no know you personally as it would be a rather disturbing image in my head of having you in glad rags trying to impersonate Shirly Temple...
  11. I think I read about something similar some time ago. I suggested using tepid water and some cotton buds to try and wipe it off. Might take some time, but I think it should restore the beautiful paint job quite well
  12. at your earlier reply I had a mental image of some actress going: 'heh,.... wimp' with a wry smile. Now you have confirmed that image
  13. Wonderful work, took some time in finding this thread (was looking in SLP RFI section). Perhaps needs shifting to the proper section by moderators?
  14. Will be skipping this one. Would be nice though if they produce some of those kits that have been 'proposed' in the past, such as the Phantom and Skyrocket etc....
  15. I can't help but notice: you didn't aswer my earlier question. it died, didn't it?.......
  16. got one of those in the stash. good to see you make all the mistakes, so I have an easier time of it..... not!
