Knowing how avid modelers our Polish members are, I'm hoping there are a couple of good hobby shops in Krakow I can drop into. We have some full days planned with the infamous sites in and around the city, but I should have a coupe of hours at least to meander around. Please let me know if there's anything worth visiting - thanks in advance!

Hit me up for figures. I have room on the build plates to fit one on there while the planes are printing. Or just build a figure file.
 
 
 
 

This has crossed my mind. I feel the struggle is just the volume of pulling/prying prints off the 100 beds, cleaning and curing hundreds of parts.  That's all I want to do this year now and fine doing it at at a one  printer pace. 

Thought I'd just take this space to note one of our members here  @Legendary Replicas and their small business in scale aviation. I think we producers all do better here when we use the attention we get to point out others' work. Good karma!

I know the feeling... Just finished a 20hr 40min print of the final plate of the Aladdin Avro Anson. Thank heaven every single part printed perfectly, particularly as the printer had a nuclear meltdown the previous night that I didn't see for five hours. It thought it was printing - but the plate didn't lift! Corrupted g-code I suspect.
 
All super again now, but I think I do need to setup and dial in my other two just in case!

Hello, everyone! I’m starting a big and interesting build. The model itself comes with excellent accessories. There will be a lot of cutting and fitting involved. Additional weaponry sets will be available later. The instruction booklet is very good; the technical details are covered thoroughly. This is the VA-192 CVW-11 variant from the USS Kitty Hawk in 1972. The Yellow Dragons, tail number 300.

I had to look it up. Pretty cool. Need to watch it. 
 
 

That was phenomenal: The flying would give the Red Arrows a run for their money (if not better at some points), the camera work, the editing to be right on the money with the soundtrack. WOW.  And then someone snuck in with their Hurricane (was that you Max @mozart)?
 
Honestly, that was the best precision flying film I have seen. Kudos to everyone who made the happen. Thank you @LSP_Ron for sharing it!

The end credits to Gangs of New York. U2 playing over a time lapse of the city from the period the movie occurs in to the present. I still remember the cheer that went up from the crowd when the World Trade Centre towers appeared.

I watched it a few days ago.  I really enjoyed it.  Different take or angle on D-Day that has been overlooked or forgotten about by most.

I didn't miss much did I?  Thanks Ron. 
 
Matt was asking about the DH Moths and that lovely yellow 82C hanging from the ceiling had a lot to offer in the way of his questions.  What a great museum.  
That big old Avro Arrow CF-105 hanging from the ceiling is also really impressive.   

I didn't see it (Mossie) displayed but there areas with lots of storage boxes all about.  I was really amazed they let people walk around and touch The Lanc.  Nicely painted up, too.  Reading about the particular Lanc airframe.  When they finally thought it would be a good idea to place it into inside for static restoration there were several areas of pigeon droppings at least a foot deep inside the fuselage.  A lot of early English jets types and British trainers.  I was really impressed what they had on hand.  The Hurricane was awesome to see up close.  

What about tomorrow, we can check out some local museums Sea Fury , Lancasters etc...

Wooden parts are almost indistinguishable from metal on photos, but definitely were widely used in the late war period. Except critical things, such as fin and stabilizer there are hatch covers, wing fairings, instrument panel, pilot's seat, floor, auxillary wheel covers (as seen on K vmodel) and (if i'm not mistaken) lower fuselage panel. So, don't hesitate to use "wooden" parts in your project.





 

Something totally different, before I forget to mention it; 
This panel line is missing from the Revell kits, should be added by the purist.

There is no simple foolproof method to rule in/out wooden stabilisers on the Bf 109. One will need to look at photos of each subject. Look for chordwise panel lines. The metal stabilisers feature a panel line near the wedge-shaped tip, which is absent on the wooden item. 
One must also keep in mind that some Bf 109 also featured wooden tail fins, which, similar to the wooden stabilisers, lack the panel line near the wedge-shaped tip.
Wooden components were more common towards the end of the war.

A lot going on with this project and about ready to close up the fuselage. However, I need to paint something! The wings are done, so I figured I may as well prime and start the pre-shading process. 
 
Using my MRP Reed Green, I started with the bottom of the wing. This will be Neutral Grey further down the road. And I also have to add some metallic colors for the chipping as well.
 
 
 
 
Used a mix again of Reed Green and some Light Gray for the upper surfaces. Thinking this over a little more as I am not sure if I want to add some more colors here for some better tonal variations. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
 
 
 
Since the ailerons were fabric covered, I decided to switch things up. Pulled out the Tamiya colors of Buff and Deck Tan and masked off some of the rib areas for some variation.
