I can’t say that we’re missing them, but I’m missing the following 1. CA 27 Sabre 2. Pilatus PC-6 3. F-111 (C) 4. Vampire, all marks 5. DHC4 Caribou 6. Pilatus PC- 12 (NGX preferably, so I can “fly” it around the room and satisfy my lotto winning fantasy) Going a little astray, in 1/24th scale I’d love to see a lot of GA aircraft, it’s an area sorely unrepresented ( and obviously “less than profitable” but wouldn’t it be nice to have a big Waco YMF 5 on the shelf, or a Cessna 150??

I can’t state this as fact, but apparently the flight crew are married. Personally, I couldn’t imagine being cooped up with my other half in a cockpit (no matter how roomy) for 2 days, we’d need seperate 2 week holidays to recover!

That’s a hell of a lot cheaper than any Aussie retailer (that I know of) I’ve pre-ordered one at just shy of $1200 Aud! I really like to support Aussie hobby shops, but $400 is a fair chunk of change, it’s damn near the price of the HK Grand Slam Lanc.

I’m in the opposite camp, while neither are anywhere near the Hawker Hunter in the looks department, I prefer the airborne aesthetics of the F-35 over the F-22. Mind you, both look like stumpy legged pigs on the ground, but that’s not where they belong so I can forgive them that.

There has to be a reason why the B/C Mustang and the Hurricane seem to be ignored by manufacturers, and it certainly can’t be because no-one on this forum has expressed a desire for them.

And I have no problem at all with that, but I would like them to do the odd version that was used by the RNZAF, including Kiwi mods and decals, after all New Zealand’s contribution’s to wars and war like operations are very under appreciated and ergo rarely presented in model form. Bloody hell, I need to see the Doc and change my meds, I’m an Aussie and I’m championing a Kiwi cause?? Excuse me while I go and eat a jar of Vegemite as penance.

A Strikemaster would be right up my alley, but I’m happy enough to see the Spit sell like hotcakes so they can fund whatever they develop next.

Probably the only aircraft that looks better on the ground (in my very opinionated opinion) is the P-51

I could afford to lose 1% too, I’ve donated more of my brain cells to other “recreational activities” than I’ll ever lose to Humbrol paint, but my point stands, we old farts need to stop being whiny numpties and accept the fact that society evolves, we do our best to protect our children and if that means the paint we use on our boys toys has to change, then that’s a positive thing.
