  1. Hi Pete, as I said before, no need to go to the Louvre to see wonders, there are plain on this forum and no need to stand on the line. Cheers Alain
  2. There, it is finished: Thank you again for your messages and be well!
  3. Hi, The last parts are glued: hoses for cooling the guns and the sights supports. The vertical axes of the sights align well with those of the seats and handwheels, phew! A 1 euro coin is placed to give an idea of size, even if few of you use this currency, sorry. Have a nice day !
  4. Hello gentlemen and many thanks for yours comments. In addition to the quad Bofors, I had done six 20 mm Oerlikon but for those, I had the good idea to keep them. Some original parts And a few copies Other original parts. For the barrels, I used FineMolds AC-1. And recently, I painted one. See you soon for the end of Bofors.......
  5. Hello, and now with seats and handwheels : Have a nice day !

  10. Fine, very very fine , congrats !!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Hello and many thanks. For the pipes, I used 0,6 mm torric seals for watches. It is sufficiently soft and matte, and sticks very well with CA. And for the fittings, it’s Albion tube Some paint: I used Haze Gray 5H from AK interactive (AK5002) And the bigger pieces were primed with Mr.Resin primer surfacer. In the event that some defects remain to be corrected. See you later !
  12. Hello, Details I had not put on the first model, for lack of documentation. A large part of the elements before the assembly will be done with small screws for the platform and the supports of the guns and metal and plastic axes for the other parts, which will limit the gluing. The bottom, with the holes to put the screws. Nice sunday !
  13. Hello gentlemen and many thanks for your comments. Jacques Druel, then head of l' Arsenal, had been kind enough to give me these sights. The protection cage of these sights is made of 0.4 Albion aluminium tube and 0.3 Plastruct rod Assembly test, the springs do not please me much, lack of regularity, to see... I saw that some guns had ammunition racks. So why not? Especially as shells, I had cast a lot of them. Plus, it’s gonna strengthen the railing. That's all for today. Cheers !
  14. Hello, more pics with details outside the barrel mounts: And with the handwheel Cheers. Alain
  15. Hello, @ivanmoe, I saw this a little while ago, but as I had already done, a long time ago, a large part of the parts, it was of no interest to me. In addition, Shapeways' shipping costs to France are exorbitant even for small parts and, in addition, for a few months now, everything that comes outside the EU is taxed. Start of production of the stand: The front The rear Assembly test, for the moment, it's ok for me. Have a nice day !
  16. Hello, another small serie of photos : See you soon !
  17. Hello, thanks for your comments and for your the link, Jari Some details added and other parts and others parts on the gun carriages Start of the construction of the stand and platform. The platform at an advanced stage. Anti-skid comes from l' Arsenal, ref AC 4821. Have a nice day !
  18. Hello, Yes, Rick, from the first model, I only have these photos left. But the second one will be better. New castings: The original part is on the left. Here, the original part is on the top right. And for small molding defects, it is sometimes easier to take back the resin to mold other parts. The way to do the seats: a solid shape is sculpted, then thermoformed with fine card, drilled holes and added details. Only remains to be molded. Good weekend !
  19. Hello gentlemen, over 15 years ago, I did this for a friend : He wanted to make a diorama of the right rear of a US Navy carrier in WW2 with four planes and dozens of figurines. This ambitious project was abandoned and the end of this cannon is unknown to me. I decided, there is little to redo this cannon and thanks to the internet, it will be more complete and detailed. Fortunately, I kept the masters because for all the pieces in two or four copies, I made molds. Some of these molds And a few castings from the time. See you soon !
  20. No need to go to the Louvre to see wonders, congratulations!
  21. Hello, about the drop tank, I had sent photos of mine and a plan to Eagle but it was misinterpreted. In fact, the weld is not on the side but underneath. That said, your Dora is fabulous! Cheers ! Alain
