  1. I would like to see a 1/32 F6F or an F4F, which was mentioned by someone. I like 109’s, but I think the hobby is better off with more choices of planes.
  2. Do you have photos. I would be very concerned that the gummy side is uncured resin, as it can leak if it is not cured properly. I would suggest putting it in the sun for a while and see if it can set. That said, without seeing it, I cannot for sure say that is the issue. The crystallization is hard to say without seeing it.
  3. Well, yes and no. On the prototypes they placed a testing prob in that area, so it wasn’t a refueling probe, even though it did come out of the modern refueling location. This said, the prototypes should all be pre1978 by a few years. I have to admit that I have no idea how secret the plane was in those days, as I was only 7 years old, but there were some A-10s that looked like the comic book photo, it is just that they were all prototypes from what I can tell. That said, I could understand why the artist would potentially think it was a refueling probe, I mean it is not that different than the refueling probe on an A4. Also, in 2019, they put a testing probe in the same area, so technically it is correct again, but it was just for testing.
  4. So, I have recently gotten a printer and I really do not have a spare room (besides my current model room) how are you venting your printer area? I use the paint booth exhaust currently and am building an acrylic box, which I will attach an exhaust to, but I am always open for other opinions. Also, with regards to the odorless resin, I assume it is still toxic, but that you cannot smell it? I will look into it when I have more time, but since at least 1 of you use it I figured I would ask.
  5. To an extent k agree. I was never thinking that Airscale could make it perfect, but Red Dog put it best, I think all those things are possible by Airscale. I realize that the plane would be very best served with a new kit, some improvements to the nose, tale, hinges, antenna would go a really long way to at least making it a better overall project. At least in my opinion.
  6. I would vote for “other” and say trumpeters 1/32 A-10…. The kit needs help and I need help trying to make it decent :-)
  7. How can I possibly sum up this project, it is beyond anything I have seen in the modeling world. This is just outstanding in every way.
  8. As Juggernut suggested, the time could be long depending on the part. For me, I usually only work on models on weekends and I have windows next to my bench, so I leave it untouched and unchecked for days or a week or two.. mainly because I am not building at the time.
  9. First, do not touch the wet resin with skin, it is not good for you at all. I have had this problem a few times and have been told to put the parts in direct sunlight. This has had mixed results, sometimes it worked, other times not. Usually UV light will dry it.
  10. I really like the new one as it is, but obvious you will do it Justice even if you were to add more grime.
  11. But why would you buy it there, it is cheaper from Kotare, even with shipping…. I just don’t understand…
  12. Maybe my counting is off, but anyway, there is a photo :-)
  13. The Boeing website show the the duel rail system on 3 and 11.
  14. You are doing a fantastic job! but the more I see, the more this kit makes me sad. I really like A-10s, but I am not sure I am ever going to tackle mine, I read Chuck’s build too….:-(
  15. How is the kit so far, it looks great. I was excited about this until I built one of their Missouri Turrets (relatively new kit) and it has been a nightmare
  16. Mine shipped today as well. Maybe I will be building a spitfire soon!
  17. I agree with Kevin, it looks great! For what it is worth, my vote would be to keep the dent, as you noted, no aircraft was perfect.

  19. I am still hesitant to start mind, but yours is certainly coming together wonderfully.
  20. Your parts, before paint, in black and white look real…. Then you paint them and they look real in color. This whole thread has is an awe inspiring ride.
  21. Be happy you do not have to assemble each track link. While individual track links look great, they are a pain in the butt.
  22. This is looking great and is exactly what I would like to do to mine. I do not I will do it the justice that you are, but this is inspiring to stretch my modeling skills.
