  1. fantastic work so far John, I have good memories from this kit, maybe you can improve the headrest which comes flat by adding some texture, maybe scribing  with a knife and adding some foldings or applying milliput  sculpting them, also the control column had a fabric protector and in some manual pictures a cushion can be seen on the seat, I used a resin detail for mine, can not remember the brand,  the gun sight pad was made of black rubber not brown leather, anyway, looking forward to this wonderful build  of yours again, cheers

Some Ups and downs lately with the build, while handing it I broke the landing strut and got very pissed off, then remembered that I did not used them previously in "Missouri Armada" build since it is in flight display,  so happily I had a spare one, still had to removed the panel cover and remove the insert part which was screwed and also glued for reinforcement, but finally it worked, then been having problem with the fuselage insignia, got lazy and used the tamiya  decal which ended up with silvering contour, sanded it off and repainted, then I used again another decal, this time from the revell kit and looked good but after some hours  appeared some air bags and weird texture so again had to remove them, so finally I used some mask and got happy, still lots of touch ups here and there but the build goes on, thanks for watching cheers

    Wow! What a fantastic build!

Where do I start?  Your cockpit details are breathtaking and super job on the pilot. I love the look of the dark green and the subtle shading. Your photos with the blurred background are inspirational.

Great job and congratulations. What a stunner.

thanks, I  appreciate your kind words, glad you like it, cheers

  5. Thanks Quang for your reply, yes, on Olivier's build I got  the "Missouri" bug B)

you are right, I missed that mistake in the Eaglecals, actually the lettering is slightly oversized too, the Letter codes in the fuselage the G and E need to have a middle cut (don't know this term) I painted that line, and the checker nose does not match the original...   at that point only wanted to finish the model and had to discard fixing those details, I am thinking about doing a more refined version and also on her legs  but not sure if I can with all those unfinished projects I have piling up

I built  also "Sad Sack"  which was the later  nose art this aircraft had after it passed to Lt. Ridley who bailed out from this plane,  I used the 1/48 Eduard kit and Bullseye decals, it was built for my Czech friend  who took me there.
