So brief summary: Peter Jackson started a model company which made great models not to everyone’s taste. But then for some reason killed it off. Sir PJ hasn’t got a great rep as an employer ( I read once Unions were onto him about some work practice's which I think was seen as a heresy or reasonable, depending). Q- is PJ going to read or even care about this forum? Seriously doubt it. Comment: Good to have a balanced view of PJ but no point banging on about it. Old news really, but educational for some who aren’t up with it all I guess. If comment says ‘if you don’t like it don’t look’ a thread will be locked by mods because they perceive it will inevitably spiral down. Threads about WNW are ‘getting old’. Q- is this level of sensitivity applied to all threads ? Could be misperception but don’t think it is. Comment: Mods are sick of this particular topic and any negative comments triggers thread kill.

WNW was listed in the title of the thread shut down. I guess OP could also put disclaimer: if you hate this subject don’t read on. It will be closed shortly in any case. How hard is it? Recently there was a Kotare thread with no wishlisting allowed which worked so I guess it’s possible. Don’t get me wrong whenever I see people wanting the latest Fairey Fruitbat it irks, so understand any thread hijack or cognitive bias bans.

Unfortunately human behaviour is not entirely rational or consistent or tolerant to your own interests. Some break out in hives where others like to frolic. Jumping onto a thread making negative comments and having it closed down isn’t mature or democratic or fair. So it’s best to go somewhere else sometimes for conversation. But this site is quite good for meeting other modelling needs like tips and techniques new info and showing your work etc. When I came on and saw the thread was closed just rolled my eyes but then went into it and couldn’t see why. But that’s not my decision. Don’t agree with it but not my call. Just head off in another direction

Out of curiosity what is an example from your experience where the tolerance was ‘over tight’ ?

The Caprioni was an important aeroplane and only WNW would attempt it in 1/32. The Dh4 and Breguet also used in numbers. Lukgraph might do the Dh4. Maybe the Breguet. HD 3 might also be up their alley. The Farman was also very important for training: not sure anyone would make it but if they do have your army of miniature robotic spiders ready for the rigging. I think Roden we’re planning on an Avro 504. Also a much used aircraft, but I imagine Roden have some headwinds with the war in their country.

Not into jets that much but support a Mig 21. I’d definitely buy an Aussie version Sabre and Korean War Mig With WNW out of play do you think they might do reboxings of Roden and Meng? With extra goodies. Maybe even do a Fokker dvii, Albatros, Camel, Spad or Se5a which would sell well. And they’ve done the research, or at least WNW have- just a thought.

Geez they really were only half way through. No single seaters ? Spad, Albatros D111, Hanriot HD1? Crazy. They did really need a billionaire’s backing. Shame about the Dh4 and Breguet as you mentioned and yes the Caprioni would have been epic. Along with HP 100/400 annd Short 184. Sigh. All these should have been made before the wacky races Gotha. And all those resources that went into the Lancaster. Oh well they did do all those 2 seaters some of which Lukgraph has taken on and CSM is doing some great stuff. Let’s see if Eduard want to do a money spinning 1/32 D111 or SPAD to the high standard of WNW or CSM.

For sure. Kotare, Eduard, ZM, ? P51 B/C clock is ticking I guess they could re issue some Hasegawa kits like they did P-40 with etch and decent decals. But most are available if you look for them.

If Eduard re tooled their original 109E then Id applaud them. Nothing like fixing mistakes and showing how far you’ve come. I’d support P-51, Spit 190 or 109. But they’ve all been done well except p51b. I’ve only heard good things about Kotare Spit. But haven’t built it yet so will decide then. Honestly if there was something out in the cockpit it wouldn’t deter me in the slightest although it’s fine to point it out for those that care. If there are unfixable errors with the outlying shapes etc like a certain company that rhymes with slobby dross comes out with then fair game. But many people who pick up a starter kit don’t even worry about that so, I dunno, whatever. Paint mules are people too.
