Looking forward to this!

Yes and no. I think my “stash”, I prefer the word “collection” is well short of 30 kits, and those I add must be “must haves”, like the Kotare Hurricane will be, but I find it immensely frustrating that I probably won’t get round to building them all. My fingers are itching to start my Grebe, my Fury and other biplanes that I have, but a couple of Hurricanes and a Typhoon are priorities. So the waiting list sits there goading me!

At least this is how I'm trying to justify how I can be weak...

europapete reacted to Archimedes in 3 Aircraft you would like to fly
Interesting Mike. Never tried that. When I am practicing for soaring flight in the club ASK-21 or Duo Discus I use the Condor flight sim which is specific for gliders and I don’t use screens: I use VR goggles and it totally changes one’s whole experience. One can lose far too much time doing that: (04:00 thirsty as hell, desperately needing a pee saying “just one more landing…”)
Now then Mr Legge, I didn’t realize were playing a game of ‘how many ways can we circumvent my completely made-up rules’ so now you have me thinking again… I can’t hold back the tide now can I?
Kind regards,
Paul

Well, Paul didn't say how many times you could answer. Just 3 per answer.......
Lancaster ( low, over a lake)
Spitfire ( do-able, they have 2 seaters now)
Tiger Moth. ( Done it )

europapete reacted to thierry laurent in Review: KEP Models 1/32 Yak-6
Hopefully when large 3d printed parts are broken in two parts the break is generally "clean". This means that with some extra thin CA glue the repair is often invisible without need for putty and sanding. However, we are not always that lucky! I just got a badly packaged 3d printed resin part that has exploded in more than a dozen of tiny pieces ...

That is a really nice looking kit. Well done.

I’m thinking of a broad spectrum of experiences:
Spad XXIII
Ta-152 H
SR-71
Imagine strolling on a tarmac deciding which one you fell like flying today!
Should these be somehow unserviceable that day, here’s my plan B (one has to plan for that, no?):
Se 5a
Hawker Tempest
MiG-25

3x 1/32 Albatros D5/ 5a
2x 1/32 Gloster Gladiator
2x 1/32 Gloster Gauntlet ( 1 to be converted to Grebe)
2x Kotare Spitfire (1 mid, 1 early)
Complete Fokker Eindekker series from WNW
2x DH2 WNW ( plus 1 more Roden, which is used as a paint mule)
6x 1/32 Hawker Hart/Demons, to be made into the family series.
3x 1/32 Zeppelin Staaken R6 ( just starting to scratch build 1 complete and 2x parts/compontants sets)
Hhmmmm......wonder how many years I have left?
Oh yes, 2x 1/48 SR71. One commission build and one for my wife. ( technically not an LSP, but at 2' long, it's pretty big)

I picked the Jungmeister, the Bearcat and the Turbo Commander because I could actually fly any of the three and not kill myself. The Jungmeister is regarded by some as the acme of traditional small bipes for its fine handling qualities, while the Bearcat is reported to be relatively easy to fly - considering what it is - and looks like it is about to explode and kick somebody’s ass even when tied down three ways to Sunday. The Commander has wonderful lines and would take me anywhere on the planet in style and comfort at a decent speed. So we’re talking fun, testosterone, and practicality.

1 of each boxing of the WNW Camel, so that makes 5 of those. I've got 2 of a few other Wingnuts kits, but the Camel reigns supreme in the stash

Yep, a hundred thumbs up for them!
I have bought many WW1 parts for my WNW kits and ALWAYS been really happy with the product and service.
Check them out, you will be glad you did.

europapete got a reaction from thierry laurent in How well do you know the Dambusters?
Ah, Crap. This is embarrasing. 20/20.
My excuse is that I am reserching Barlow's Type 464 for my 1/32 Border Models kit and I have a piece of his aircraft. I hope that it will be accurate.

WNW Fokker DVII in different boxings - I think two of every boxing they did of it? I really bought into the "limited run" nature that they had said initially on their kits. At least I have built two of them and two more underway lol....
