  1. SOOOO much better than the pc crap one gets today.
  2. I could go for a 1/32 Halifax. Would prefer an early version with the merlins, front turret and triangular tails.
  3. Not just in Mass, but RI, NH, Vt, Connecticut and Maine also. That's why they call it New England.
  4. Hey! you just flew over our house! We live close to Quanset. You can even see the Oakland Beach inlet where our boatyard is lol. Just above the fin and to the right a bit. Amazing what they can do with graphics these days.
  5. Personally I would switch the title around to "How many years in a single build".
  6. I agree Citadelgrad, one has to grab a/m stuff when it comes out as most is made by cottage industry and dissapears quickly. Even Eduard stuff changes regularly. I grab books also as and when I can.
  7. I am with you K2. I get all the a/m for a kit before I start. Over the last couple of years I haven't bought many kits, but I have been going through the stash box by box and ordering any missing a/m. And then new a/m is released and the process starts over. Definition of insanity anyone?........
  8. Whacky, Max, Whacky. Insane, off-the-rails, Monty Python-ish. I know, two countries separated by a common language. AND spelling of said thing.
  9. DH2 with floats? ! YEAH BABY! Oops, sorry, mis-read it.
  10. WackyRacer, I think you are single handedly keeping the hobby industry in buisness
  11. Well, Paul didn't say how many times you could answer. Just 3 per answer....... Lancaster ( low, over a lake) Spitfire ( do-able, they have 2 seaters now) Tiger Moth. ( Done it )
  12. That is a really nice looking kit. Well done.
  13. Too many, but 3? Bristol Boxkite DH2 Snipe
  14. Happy Bithday Mike May the Gods of Plastic bare down bringing gifts
  15. Hi Pete, appologies for the misunderstanding. Yes, it was Barlows' mine. The Germans recovered it from the crash site. It seems some were left in red oxide primer, some in a finish coat of dark green, and sime pilots had theirs given a coat of black just before the raid. Barlow's was in red oxide primer.
  16. Ah, Crap. This is embarrasing. 20/20. My excuse is that I am reserching Barlow's Type 464 for my 1/32 Border Models kit and I have a piece of his aircraft. I hope that it will be accurate.
  17. Sorry Pete, Barlow and his crew were killed on the way to the Sorpe Dam after hitting power lines. Are we talking about the same Barlow? My info comes from "Dambusters" The Definitive History of 617 Sqn At War 1943-1945, Revised edition, by Chris Ward and Andy Lee. Red Kite publishing ISBN 978-0-9554735-3-1
  18. This looks rather interesting, thank you Pete. Will dig into it.
  19. Yep, a hundred thumbs up for them! I have bought many WW1 parts for my WNW kits and ALWAYS been really happy with the product and service. Check them out, you will be glad you did. Regards, Pete in RI
  20. I can see you and Max are going to start a Monty Python Yorkshireman sketch
  21. Ah, crap. Thanks for the reminder Paul. Add 2 Pups, 3 Camels, 2 Brisfits, 2 Snipes and 3 Fokker Triplanes to my above list
