I have started another little 1/48 seeing space is starting to run out the Meng Me-410 with the only add-ons being the Quintas Interior. The fit thus far has been quite Nice I have even placed the copit and gunner section within the fuselage halves fit looks excellent. The kit also supplies both engines and look like they might be pretty good for 1/48 sadly I will properly close those up once built.I also have the Revell 1/48 in the stash to which I order my mask for it when I ordered this one's mask.Pics of work done thus far....

Hello,
The last one!
The Revell model is really nice, with beautiful recessed panel lines. But the cowling, undercarriages, engine... aren't that great.
Quite a few additions in 3D printing with the files available from Jumpei Temma:
https://soyuyo.main.jp/p47rb/p47rb-4.html#3d
Basically, replaced by 3D:
- cockpit
- Main gears
- Engine
- Propeller
- Dorsal fin
Eduard wheels
Master barrels and pitot
Techmod decal for nose art and killmark.
The rest is painted with masks
The marking was inspired by the superb profile in the AK book on 56th FG.

And yet another book I'd been considering for quite a while. While I already have numerous references on the Dora, I figure more is always better.

I know Japanese had a somewhat a semi-gloss finish but it depends on the AC being modeled for me with weathering if that happens.I luv to model japanese ships currently doing the 1/200 Scharnhorst been a few going now since any work. This the IJN Chickuma rigging the more the better and German and the IJN liked rigging.

Still working. I start to paint the glider. On the lower part I applied a rough texture for further painting. Also with mechanisation and landing gear flaps. Primed tanks, pylons, armament.

Coming along slowly got a bit of chipping done last night. The stand I built today had all the wood of course(lyptus, black oak,red oak and 3/16 plywood) scraps just had to buy wingnuts.

No! It looks great, most realistic, any more would be too shiny imo. Great model from a great kit (which I built myself many years ago).

The canopy got taped and black based last night and sprayed silver this morning just a couple light touch ups left. The stand I built today wanted something lighter and more adjustable should handle a twin engine easy 16"LX14"W.Though you cannot see them all the woods Lyptus(SA),Red Oak,Black Oak and 3/16" plywood a project leftover from wife's little kiddie class.

Methinks the plane is becoming more appealing to one's eyes.

Getting close to some decals still have a few panels on the bottom held in with pronounced screw heads. The panels I highlighted were basically ones with those screw heads.

I have been working this while things settle on the George.I had all the panels on the front left side masked and painted and sprayed the wrong color their goes 45/60 minuted of masking ....
Unlike Sasha's beautiful F-86 him doing panels on this one I am going after hatches and anything with screws on the perimeter should be different we will see.
