Ok, am I missing something? Has Special Hobby finally announced a Typhoon release????

Has anyone heard whether there will be any upgrades released for the wheel wells? As an aside to this question to this question, there is discussion about the spinner that keeps going. After looking at the pictures presented in another topic, it appears to me that there might be 2 slightly different spinners. Could this be possible due to the three different manufacturers having a different process in doing the spinner?

On a different vein. I hope someone does something with the engine/ wheel well bay detail. Very convoluted area. Probably have to be 3D.

I’m sure all the work will produce a nice result. As said in past builds seen here- “Some modeling skills required”. Great work going on here! -

Nicely done. -
Draw decals has several DC3 decal sets showing in their site. Not sure if 1/32 is one scale they cover but there are multiple prices showing. I assume 1/32 might be one of the prices.

Being left handed, I am in my right mind. You righties are left out -
Nice build, but it is such an odd looking aircraft. Could have been possibly a good COIN aircraft.

Very nice work. Looks like a good amount of pride went into this build.

Quang, I bow to you. I hadn’t looked at the photos close enough. Indeed, they panels are butt jointed. That will simplify my future efforts. Thanks -

Since photos seem to show the panel lines overlapped, you might try to fill the panel lines. Follow this with laying down tape along the filled panel lines on the lower side. After that is done, spray several coats of primer/paint evenly on the upper side. Once this dries, remove the tape. You can then assess whether this gives you the lapped panel line look you need. Repeat if needed. Use fine sand paper to very!!! gently refine the edge. I have done this with a Hellcat model, and it represents the lapped panel line well once final coats are applied. It’s just another way to approach the issue. I’ll plan on this myself. -
Looks very good. To further sunbleach the entire build, I have lightly misted thinned dull coat with a few drops of white in it. Do it in several different coats to assess effect.

Nice work. Thanks for “falling on the sword” for us. Haven’t ordered one yet, but definitely looking forward to getting one -
HpH news - 1/32 Kate, Marauder, Ventura and 1/48 B-47
Steve Eagle replied to Kagemusha's topic in LSP Discussion
I have built several HpH kits. Yes there is sanding involved with removing stubs from parts. They tend to be pretty complete with regard to interiors. But, they need to be checked for fit- had a few misfits due to some shrinkage. Not major though. I thoroughly enjoyed building my kits (La-7 and Me-410. Be patient. I’m interested possibly in SM -79 and Ventura. -

Very interesting group of future kits. Ventura should do well depending on price. -
Hasegawa 1/32 Ki-61 I Hien Tei Conversion (Wolf Pack)
Steve Eagle replied to Thunnus's topic in Ready for Inspection
Very well done. This scheme is really interesting. Kind of reflects the shifting of aircraft that went on in the Sentai at the end of the war with these mixed tail markings. The Wolfpack set was well done and you did it justice. -
This may start a storm, but does anyone have an idea if the wheel well covers were used that often. I have read that they were fitted to number airframes, but they were removed by the ground crews due to difficulty in getting them in place. I am working on a 205 now and will be getting a 202 at some point. Just trying to prepare for a lot of work with hoses and wiring if the covers really weren’t used that much on either variant. I built a PCM 202 after its release and did it with a cover- not easy!! This new kit will solve this problem if they were used therefore.

Are both both early and late windscreens included in the kit? That will determine what series aircraft could be built- unless it just doesn’t matter to you -
Have there been any new issue announcements on 1/32 kits at the Nationals?

I regret missing out on one of the Echelon vacs. These were some of the cream of the crop in vacuforms.
