  1. Chuck, In addition to my former suggestions, what about a Typhoon or a Tornado? In 1:32 the Typhoon is pretty well served by Revell. Same it is true about the Tornado given that both the Revell and the Italeri are great kits (can't tell you why but I still like the Revell the best). Best, Lucio
  2. Chuck, First if all congratulation for your amazing model and thank you for sharing your work with us. And then, what about a Trumpeter 1:32 Su-27? It would be a very interesting choice, a very interesting build because: - The Su-27 is one of the most beatiful aircraft ever. - The Trumpeter kit call for a lot of aftermarket and detailing work. - The painting job is challenging, expecially when it comes to the exhausts, the natural metal surfaces, and the weathered camouflage of old russian aircrafts deployed up to the very north. My second best would be a Tamiya F-15E built as an Israeli F-15I. Cheers, Lucio
  3. Hi Chuck, Did you use the Quickboost exhasts released for the Revell Spitfire?
  4. Chuck, What kind of advantages in using Mig washes instead of thinned oil paints ? You keep improving, build after build. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
  5. Kev, You're rigth! Yes, that same kind of button is on Android by default. I simply didn't know it. My apologies.
  6. Hi Chuck, For what is worth my opinion, I have a couple of possible answer for you. Nothing scientific, however. 1) Maybe there is a technical reason. Most of us follow your posts on a smart phone or a tablet. In case, to like a post switching to "full view" mode is required. By default, on Android and OS devices the "like" button is not visible at all. That is, maybe, why you get hundreds of views but you don't get hundreds of likes. 2) Your lately posts are visually beautiful but they almost don't allow for interaction. For example: You went "from shiny museum looking engine.... to a dirty and weathered engine that is used constantly" withour any "in progress" picture. That's a striking difference with your "in progress" posts of years ago. Now it seems that every post of yours is a self contained article ready to be published on a magazine. Showing more of the building process would give to people like me the possibility to ask you more questions about materials, tools, and techniques and to express our amusement. I guess that taking your high quality pictures is time consuming. But why don't you alternate your high quality pictures with pictures that can be shoot ith a phone while you are building your kit, day by day, without the need of setting up your photoboot ? That's my two cents...
  7. Again on the seat texture, where did you get that fine metal mesh ? Good to hace you back, I can't forget your Eagle...
  8. Chuck, Let me thank you for all this happiness! Nothing match your threads, both in terms of modelling and narrative. Keep going, I am altready dreaming about your forthcoming Spitfire... I have a question: If I remember well you are using inexpensive micro drills for pins. Where do you buy them?
  9. Chuck, I am in a deep crisis of abstinence, and I guess I am far from being the only one. Just post some picture of your Eagle, no need of any explanatory writings. Best,
  10. Hi, Accuracy wise, what about the 1/32 Hellcat cowl? I know that the one from Hasegawa in 1/48 is quite misshapen.
  11. ... waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, and waiting...
  12. Just reload them. It will take some time but it would be very appriciated by we all.
  13. Marcel, Would you please reload all the photos of this thread ?
  14. Chuck, First of all congratulations. Then, what about some more pictures of your Eagle as it is now before painting ? Just to give us the opportunity to see more clearly all the changes and additions ? Best,
  15. "I have no more parts" It was about six year ago that I read this sentence. Times fly. That day, browsing ARC Forums, I found your Hornet. I was very impressed by your skills. But in my over thirty years of love for our hobby I never thought of ending a build with these words. How many of us can say the same? Since that moment, checking your in-progress work has become one of the sweetest moment of my evenings. Of all your build, the one I like the best is your Phantom. There was a special kind of magic. Something ever un-matched by any other in-progress work in any other forum. Maybe it was so because a Phantom is always a Phantom. Maybe it was so because of the interaction with Scott Wilson. The build that I like the less is your Thunderbolt. It has been an amazing effort. I learned a lot. But, at the same time, it was an exercise in willpower. No joy. Often I thougth you would lose your enthusiasm and leave the hobby. And then the Eagle. Well, for me, your Eagle build is another fabulous journey. Once again, nobody shares our hobby like you do. Your pictures, and your posts are always very well written. So, please keep us posted. Does not matter if you not have a big update. At this point your are family. It will always a pleasure to take a look at your work (and at your travels). It is always a pleasure to read your posts. (Apologies for my English)
