They seem enthusiatic enough BUT, churning out endless ideas in CAD is the easy cheap bit, what might trip them up is when they need £200,000 to start producing tools and with the multitude of CAG designs and ideas they have, there will be a big bottleneck of stuff waiting on profits to produce more tooling….

The problem here is that like the helldiver, the resin parts wont work well with the injected components, HPH’s biggest failing was designing an injected helldiver and then selling bits of their resin one to detail it, due to resin shrinkage and thicknesses , its like they were designed for a different scale

The tailplane and elevator have to rotate the aircraft about the main gear as an axis at relativly low speeds,, if cg is too far forwards and theres a lot of weight in front of it, they cant, just as on approach, with the same weight set up, the tailplane/ elevator run out of' authority' and the aircrraft at best cant flare and at worst goes in nose first...

Even though this is an unbelievably heavy kit The undercariage on this kit does not need replacing at all, it has 1.3/1.5mm welding rod running through it from axle to attachment point, far stronger than any whitemetal replacement and about the same as any brass of the same dimension.

I didnt find the rivets on the wing something to be concerned about as a smear of filler if you must on the 'Extra set' of tip rivetsr enders them gone and dependant on what point you use as a datum to compare the 2 sides, they match perfectly well measured from the outside nacelle edge

Added to the fact that when assembled, even the keenest eye couldnt tell

I think their quality has dropped precipitously on the latest release of the stilleto. The print layers are terrible in places

The comments you noted are correct re the terribly odd, differentialy sized and ill fitting cockpit parts, the etch used in the kit is just about ok but the flaps set is too thin and better scratchbuilt, the issues run across both the civilian kit and the dday model, i found the civillian one a little easier to build (this may have been partly down to experience tho), i converted my military one to the floatplane version with a set of 3d printed resin floats

Excellent choice as you could use the 1/18 merit kit at 60 quidish and save fortunes on the expensive hph model (as good as they are)

They are excellent at innovative injection moulding and kit quality generally. They only really fall short on accuracy, and not ALL of the time…
