  1. I would agree..why I hang them high...out of reach..... as for the ruler..I am not a scale nut...but..still..this kit...next to other 1/32...is OUT OF WHACK...BIG TIME
  2. OK...so responses continue - wonderful - so let me ask another question - Since a lot of you like me - put these aircraft in flight with wheels UP. I tend to build up the wheel wells with spare parts (even wood) but try and fill out with filler. Been using Tamiya Putty (basic type) . The horror is it deforms the plastic as it cures. SO - any ideas of a filler that will not deform plastic - I am All Ears.
  3. WOW....gosh o mighty...thanks to all you guys.....So..the HELLCAT is a BIG M...F..er.....hmmmmmmm....I had thrown the box up on the shelf.... but.. 4. Thanks Guys - appreciated all responses - I hang all my airplanes ..with gear up.....and it is the over all appearance of the "squadron" if you will that I aim for. This Hellcat is so far out of scale....just cannot add it in. I agree..no big deal..but...when stacking them next to each other..it is a BIG DEAL. Will try and attach some photos..but hey again..thanks for the chit chat....
  5. After building a large series of aircraft in 1./48 scale decided to switch to 1/32 scale. Mostly Hasegawa kits - bult their Spitfire, Tony and BF-109G. All are terrific . just started Hasegawa | F6F3/5 Hellcat Reviewed by Jeffrey Brundt he states it looks big but is to scale. Well I checked it 10.2M 1/1 converted to mm 1/32 scale and I got 318 mm wingspan. I just measured the kit wingspan..it is over 400mm!! the Pilot figure is huge... Love to hear someone feed back on this. Very annoyed with this out of scale kit.
