  1. You put the forward pod on either side: Jari
  2. Coming along great Peter, one little detail, the early A-4s had only 2 chaff dispensers, one forward and one aft: edit: Jari
  3. Here is another photo: Jari
  4. I think it had to do with weight, the TARPS weighing around 1,800lbs and a Phoenix almost 1,000lbs, returning with them plus the weight of fuel needed to make as many attempts to land as necessary may make the F-14 too heavy to land safely. Another option would be this: https://theaviationgeekclub.com/the-story-of-the-us-navy-tarps-equipped-f-14-tomcat-that-took-a-photo-of-its-own-gbu-12-heading-for-its-target/ Jari
  5. Most likely the window would be in a box which would make it easier to store in the aircraft and get the packets out. Of course finding an example of how they got the window out into the airstream is the hard part. Window came in various sizes for the various radar wavelengths, checking numerous Bomb Aimer Briefings show assorted types listed but not every mission used window, probably the lead aircraft and maybe the 3rd or 4th aircraft in line dumped it out as well. So not having some would be okay. I'll still keep looking. Jari
  6. Finding images of the interior layout would be hard, my best guess it would be just forward of the gylcol tank, if you check the kit images here: https://www.themodellingnews.com/2021/09/preview-border-model-bombshell.html you can see a CAD of the nose interior without the outer skin showing the dispenser location. Here is a Bomb Aimer's briefing showing how much Window was carried on that particular mission, 20 MB(?) 40 old type: i remember a story i read somewhere that a Bomb Aimer did not use up all the Window during a mission, the ground crewmember who job was to take care of the Window loading told the BA that if not all the Window is used up then he has to unload it, count each package - record it, inspect each one, return it all to stores and then reload the aircraft for the next time. In other words use all the Window up before landing even if he has to dump it over the channel. The Bomb Aimer got the message. Jari
  7. Excellent work Will, not to add to your work load but did Spook n Droop have the Window dispenser chute on the side of the nose? It may have going by photos including here: https://clarencesimonsen745590793.wordpress.com/2022/10/ of course that would mean more interior work as the Window packets were stored in the nose section. Jari
  8. Here is another view, note it has the slime lights but still has the early muzzle: edit: another one: Jari
  9. How about Zunis being fired off: Jari
  10. Peter, why not do this one: Jari
  11. In French: https://mach34.fr/phototheque/canadair/AFM_Canadair.pdf the side number 44 is not listed (pg 20 of the article) as an actual airframe. Jari
  12. If you want to go crazy, try scratchbuilding a bunch and while you are at it, i think they used this type of rack: https://www.docdroid.com/K5Qj24z/douglas-a-26-ab-erection-and-maintenance-manual-pdf#page=563 At the 2:35 mark in this video some AN-M40 Parafrags are being dropped by A-20s: https://www.criticalpast.com/video/65675020569_New-Guinea-Campaign_General-Douglas-MacArthur_7th-Division_capture-of-Lae_9th-Division Jari

  14. Looks like the Hummel will have a full interior, don't think the engine will be visible: http://www.trumpeter-china.com/Uploads/202504/680609f93c110.jpg Jari
  15. I don't know if this is the one: Jari
  16. Here is the early version: Jari
  17. Not the best quality but the plate being removed: Jari
  18. Here is another F-15E about to get some gas: Jari
  19. Another thing to worry about is how will it affect the companies that make the kits in their future plans, will all the increased costs stop them from coming out with new releases? Not to mention the various hobby shops, will they find buyers for the higher priced products that they hope will sell? Jari
  20. Very nice indeed, and if you have a 1/35 251, put it beside one of your other 1/35 kits and you'll see how big it really is. Jari
  21. Maybe another place for an antenna wire: Jari
  22. Great work Will, have you seen this front section photo of a Lancaster: it might give you some details you may wish to add. I plan on getting a nose section kit as well one day, with mine i'd like to add a partial bomb load, i think should to fit the first two rows with bombs or SBCs. The Border kit has the bomb bay doors and an in-flight stand but with the canopy problems they seem to have, the HK kit might the better option and cheaper. Jari
  23. Will, i found them here: https://www.bombercommandmuseumarchives.ca/noseart/ in the second pic i do not know if those are kill markings as 429 didn't start flying the Lanc until Mar 45 when the Luftwaffe wasn't much of a problem, perhaps a search of ORBs may yield some info. Kill markings were assigned to the aircraft not the crew so another crew may have been flying it. Jari
