Here is a view of the launchers on a Mustang, you can see where the front lug slides in and above that is the slot for the arming wiring solenoid: Jari

The larger rockets would drop and then fire while the smaller ones would slide off the launcher: Jari

If you line up the rockets with their exhaust most seem to be going where they were aimed at but if you look at the 3d rocket from the right it looks like it will go elsewhere: Jari
