  1. I’m doing the 1/32 Revell Tornado at the mo. Construction of the tail planes has show that one sides trailing edge is lovely and thin, but the other sides trailing edge is vert thick. How can I thin this out without creating a wedge and loosing all the detail. Steve.
  2. Hey I was just looking at these on my weekly eBay search, unaware of your thread. Watching with interest and feedback please. Steve.
  3. I’m not really into WW1 stuff but judging from the reactive posts on here it’s a big thing them doing something else. Either way I like WW2 aircraft but like some others here I simply couldn’t justify the cash. I tend to buy second hand stuff to keep the costs down but I suspect after the honeymoon period these will still demand a decent price tag. I’ll be content to look at others at model shows that will dictate whether I’ll get one or not (probably not). Steve
  4. Well I’m looking at doing a Belgium aircraft, so it will be interesting to see which one to purchase along with those decal recently posted on here from France. Steve.
  5. I’ve got one in the loft, I’ll think it can stay in bits for the moment, as my wife would not be best pleased Steve.
  6. Looks really great. Can you put up a photo with something beside it, to show the size of this thing! Steve.
  7. Don’t know how I missed this thread, upon the first read I think I read 8.in one go. Steve.
  8. I’m just starting the seats in my Airies cockpit set and I’ve noticed that some of the etch is brown tarnished. Is this normal as I’ve not noticed it previously on other applications. I’m not convinced it a prepainted item as there is untarnished bits alongside. Steve.
  9. My smaller scales (less than 1/32) are in a box in the loft. My 1/32 stuff is on display in the garage or in the local aviation museum. When I run out i’ll Look at more shelving. Steve.
  10. Sorry to highjack the thread, Mark, is it any good. I’m planning on a 5 later in the year. There are a couple on eBay in the US but the postage kills it plus import tax. In the UK I found one for £40. Steve.
  11. Hey your right about the lighting, night time model show = could be the next great trend....
  12. I’ve just stumbled across this, don’t know how I missed it!. It looks absolutely splendid and you can visualise it doing 400kts at 10ft. Steve.
  13. Corr they do look weird without tip tanks in the first photo
  14. Now that’s some contraption hanging of that cab Steve.
  15. Hi folks now this is my last attempt as I’ve seem to have exhausted google and my eyes are on sticks. None of my reference books have what I’m after. I’m looking for a view looking back towards the bulkhead of the Navigators cockpit preferably with the seat removed. Steve.
  16. These fisher conversions are a bit good especially when finished in ripple. I did an ETPS one which is now in the Boscombe Down museum, have you thought about trying to get that on display in the FAST museum?. Steve.
  17. As a Lightning enthusiast, it's great to see one done effectively. You haven't got carried away with the patchwork quilt effect showing off the camo to a good balance. Steve.
  18. I've started my 1/32 Revell Tornado and I'm current doing the Aires cockpit. I'm probably 1/3rd of the way through the front cockpit and this morning I was applying airscale decals, but on placing them there was a fair amount of film around the instrument. I found it very fiddly to cut as it's small enough as it is; so is there a how to or tool, equally how do you do yours. Failing that I'll buy 1/48 decals for the really small dials. Steve.
  19. 1st class indeed, how long did that take to do? Steve.
  20. I was going to get rid of my Hasegawa F-5e because of the new KH example, but I might actually keep it.
  21. Absolutely love it. What a contrast to the usual camo stuff we see. I can't express enough how good that is. Steve.
  22. Yep but trying to find one for sale....... Steve.
  23. Now I try to be different with my builds and I was thinking of the mesh covers as fitted when doing engine runs, a bit of a distraction technique to take the eyes away from the trunking, or just slap on FOD covers. Steve.
  24. I've got one of these in the stash but mines going to be a UK 7 squadron cab, when I build up the courage to get going. If you haven't seen these kits they are massive = BRILLIANT
  25. Thanks everyone I've got the Paragons flaps/slats, also Aires airbrakes/engines & a cockpit set. I'll investigate further as it will sway which way I go with the kit. Steve.
