  1. Shaping up very nicely Peter! Beautiful work as ever. Torben
  2. Gathering up a heck of a head of steam there Peter.... inspirational work as ever. Torben
  3. Lovely stuff! Having those printed parts to lock in the geometry is a very clever idea. Often not caught by scale models of the S5 is that one of the floats was a bit longer than the other (I think to counteract torque from the prop (?)) - is it the same here with the S6B? Torben
  4. Oh my goodness - me and my big mouth! Crikey you move fast Peter! Great choice - The S5 has very little ref, if any for it’s cockpit - with the S6B, I think having access to the real thing will really help you nail this one. So looking forward to seeing you bring this one to life.... Torben
  5. Lovin’ the love you’re giving this Peter - super stuff Torben
  6. Truly, madly, deeply wonderful Peter, you’re one talented so-and-so - what a wonderful build! Torben
  7. Hi Malc, Crikey! has it been that long! Thanks for your note... I’m afraid I’ve had to take a pretty prolonged break from almost all modelling, especially the bigger/research heavy projects! This is largely due to heavy work commitments as I’m self employed and have been lucky enough to be very much in demand the last couple of years My home also needs a lot of work too... That said, the S5 has been stored safely and is high on my list of projects to pick up on when I find/make time to focus on !! (That and my long overdue 1/32 Airacobra!) Hopefully not such a long gap for the next update. Cheers, Torben
  8. Crikey! Wonderful work. As ever Peter, you’ve nailed it. Torben
  9. Gosh! Always great to see a new Hurricane in 1/32 - especially from such a major brand. At first glance it looks a tad soft/chunky on some of the cockpit detail but I’m also wary commenting on what might be a very early test shot - always best to keep a positive and open mind until you see it in the flesh.:D If these are shots of an actual model then it looks like the wheel well is moulded in clear plastic thus allowing a simple masking for the small observation ports in the base of the cockpit. This alone augers well for attention to detail for the modeller Torben
  10. IMHO they’ve absolutely nailed it... period. Having seen this in the flesh this weekend, from the correct raised rivets behind the cockpit to the accurate way panels on the rear fuselage overlap rather than butt join she’s a doozy! You can see the love and attention that’s been put into designing this. I hope it sells like hot cakes... Torben
  11. Planning on going both days so will deffo pop along to the Sig table. Looking forward to it
  12. She gets more beautiful every time you post Peter - shaping up wonderfully Hope to catch you at Telford :) Torben
  13. So much to admire here Thomas - you clearly have the time and skill to bring this off with aplomb! Thanks for those reference portal links - I think I’ve got a version of that dvd - the Warbirds might have to wait until I’m feeling a bit richer! I will certainly PM you about those fuselage formers!! Thank you for your kind offer Best, Torben
  14. Sublime stuff Peter, beautiful work, - nuff said...
  15. What a cracker of finish! Beautifully subtle patina and weathering - really showing off those wonderful riveted Fly wings. Torben
  16. Goodness me.... I must drop in more often.... My very favourite aircraft being being given some seriously skilful scratch work - what is not to absolutely adore!!! A fantastic start Thomas , so much to admire. I assume you’ve checked out this scratch-built beaut in 1/48? I know it’s not LSP but boy is it good... https://pwm.org.pl/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=79416&sid=d69b4efa313e5778c274f8e182238166 I must have nearly every book on the Hurricane somewhere in my collection along with Bentley’s wonderful plans but never been able to get any plans or profiles of all the wooden formers, both top of the fuselage and sides - May I ask where you got such drawings that you pantographed those sections from? - I would pretty much give my eye teeth to have a set, whatever scale. Very much looking forward to seeing the next post, Torben
