Hello ,
this was my first Wingnut Wings two engine bomber and was build last year.
As always with WnW excelent fit of parts and fun from start till end.
Not as huge as the Gotha or the Felixstowe but still more than 50 cm in wingspan.
The most complicated part was the full body lozenge covering.
Very nice boxart :
As usual it starts with building the very detailed cockpit.
Fuselage covered in lozenge "Tarnstoff".
Toned down :
Work on the two Daimler Benz D IV 260 PS engines.

I have started the build last weekend and compared to the Felixstowe I have build this will be a much easier one. I'm already finished with most of the cockpit part and here is my current progress.
The HGW textile belts are added and I must say they are a real advantage over the kit pe-parts . More complicated to assemble but looking great and flexible to bring into position.
The instrument panel , the kit decals are very nice to work with.
If you speak German , you can see a few spelling/translation flaws ( like Haupbenzn instead of Hauptbenzin ) , but this is absolutely unvisible by the naked eye
.

Hello ,
this will be my first work in progress thread on this forum and I have chosen the second model kit out of the great WNW Felixstowe/ Hansa-Brandenburg W29 Duellist Pack.
The plane flown by Friedrich Christiansen was the direct opponent to the Felixstowe N4305 when it was shot down on 31th Juli 1918 by a patrol of 5 Hansa-Brandenburg W29.
But on to the build , here are the pictures of the box , a really large one compared to the normal sized box of a Bristol Fighter.
And that's how it will look like.
The kits from WNW are already great in detail , but this time I want to add some aftermarket stuff for extra detail.
This will be the textile belts from HGW , a detail set for the Benz.III engine , Anemometer from Gaspatch and resin parts for the Parabellum 14/17 MG from Eduard as well as a Master barrel addition to it.

that's a really nice Stuka that you show us here.
I really like it and it's on my todo list for the next time. If I may ask you if you have used any aftermarket stuff in this build or is it OOB ?

Brian's thread was really something special and my DH2 is definitely only a inferior copy of his masterpiece.
But I'm trying to get better.

Engine finished , aged and wired.
With the 4 blade propeller added.
With the fuselage.
A little extra detail , the breather pipe and the petrol indicator glass of the wing tank. Breather pipe was replaced with a 0,5mm metal pipe and the petrol level was painted with clear yellow.
Landing gear added.
Next the picture of the finished plane.

Hello ,
Encouraged by the many positive feedback to my Felixstowe build I would like to show you some pictures of another Wingnut Wings model that I have finished last year.
The inspiration for this build was the brilliant under construction thread from Out2gtcha on this forum.
Many thanks to him for this.
As with the Felixstowe I would like also to show some pictures out of the construction phase before the final ones.
Here the cockpit before the fuselage was closed.
For a little additional fun I have used the resin engine from Taurus which consists of 91 parts , some so small that I needed a magnifying glass to work with them.
For size comparison the valve springs. The wooden thing on the picture is the end of a standard toothpick

Hi Wolf ,
I'm glad to get such a great feedback from a real master of scale modelling.
It is true that you are responsible for my comeback to plane model building and especially the ones from WW1.
I have read your building report " Another Fokker finished ! " on this forum in 2014 and only a few days later ordered my first WNW kit , a Fokker D VII F.
This report was a great inspiration and I am still far away from the quality of your models.
Regarding the Felixstowe I would really recommend you to get one ( even if I think they will not been sold out in the next future ) and give it a try.
It was fun from the start to the end.

I have finished the work on the Felix last sunday.
I will post the pictures of the finished modell this evening. The in progress pictures were just an introduction and to show some of the internal structures.

It' good to see that I'm not the only one who likes this old flying maschines from WW1.

Yes , it seems I have problems to add pictures here . I have read your tutorial and created a photobucket account.
But both methodes does'nt seems to work.
If I go on the Image button a new window opens "Image properties" and I paste the URL from my Picture on photobucket than press OK.
And then nothing happens , the window does not close and the only Thing I can do is leave the site.
Any idea what went wrong ?

This is my first post on this forum and my first post on an international forum at all.
My name is Peter Hofer and I'm from Germany. I have started scale model building again in 2009 after a long absence for more than 15 years with tanks in 1:35. My first plane was a WNW Fokker D VII in December 2014 and since that I would call myself a Wingnut addicted
.I have build 9 of them in 2015 and there is no end to see.
The Felixstowe which I finished yesterday was the most challenging but also most impressive kit I ever had on my desk.
I would recommend everybody with at least moderate skills ( like mine ) to give it a try , it is worth every Euro spend.
But here without making to much words the pictures , starting with some out of the building phase.

More work on the engines. Framed and attached to the wings.
Lower wings attached , a 1:48 Bf-109 E for size comparison.
And finished after 2 months work.
