Needed a fun build. No aftermarket, no research, no mods, etc. This is the 1/32 Special Hobby Westland Whirlwind. The only things I added was spare seat belts, antenna wiring & clear acetate for the gunsight. So, almost OOB. Painted with Xtracolor enamels, minor weathering & some paint chipping. Kit decals used, only painted the fuselage band. The kit built up very well with no issues. The landing gear is a little tricky to assemble. Hope you like & all comments welcome. Larry

Just finished my Kitty Hawk Mirage 2000 C. Added Quinta Studios cockpit detail set, Resikit exhaust, as my kit one was too small & a Black Box MB 10 ejection seat which I modified. Added wiring, details etc to the cockpit & landing gear, added grab handles & mirror to canopy. Closed all of the opened panels, doors, retracted the slats. Painted with MRP paints & added minor weathering. Used FCM decals & finished as a Brazilian bird. Discovered after I painted, that the Brazilian aircraft didn't have the wing root flare dispensers, but will have to go as is. I know very little about jets. Good points about the kit; great surface detail, fit is very good for the most part. Overall a decent build. Bad points, Kitty Hawk has too many doors, panels posed opened & the fit is poor if closed. Decals are too thick & didn't respond to solutions. Instructions are vague or wrong concerning optional pieces. Thanks for looking & all comments welcome. Larry

Stunning build! So the French painted all of the attachment fittings blue? Or was this specific to this aircraft? Thanks for posting.

Very nice! The chair & parachute are nice additions. Pilot looks great! Wish I could paint figures near as good as that. -
