Mr scale32 got a reaction from malky761 in Hawker Hunter J-34
Hi there all forum members.
This is my latest build. It is a Revell Hawker Hunter Mark 58, downgraded to a Mark 50(F4). A new resin tail cone and with small leading edges. Some fix for the spine and scratched F.O.D covers.
I also used Flightpath photoetch airbrake and flaps. Decals from Moose Republic.
The Swedish Airforce named the Hawker Hunter J-34. All aircrafts painted in Olivedrab. J-34 was first delivered to airwing F-18 in 1955. The Swedes used the Hunters until the J-35 interceptor was delivered to the airwings. Last flight with hunters in the Swedish airforce was 1967. Some of them was equiped with two RB24(sidewinder).
Here is Yellow K from Airwing F-18 with white exercise markings. This particular aircraft collided in air with a J-29 "Tunnan" in 1961.

So nice to see some Swedish scheme on a Hunter. Well done, nicely weathered as well. Bravo!
Cheers

Mr scale32 reacted to Scalefighter in Mirage IIIE Italeri EC3/3 1:32
Hello
I am new here and will make my debut with a Mirage IIIE built from the Italeri kit in 1:32.
The model took me more than 600 hours to build after some modifications, corrections and refinements were done.
The italeri kit generally is a lot better, than the old Revell one, however the quality leaves something to be desired and it is not up to the standard of these days.

Hi, friends!
Allow me to present model of the Hero woman-pilot Lidiya Litvyak. That was definitely easy built model. I used Akan paints, and Gunze oils.
Many thanks for Iva Honkova and her beatiful reproduction!
Regards, Sergey Budyansky.

. A-10A Thunderbolt II from Trumpeter 1:32 scale
The model is not the best, made as always straight from the box using a rather poor set of decals.
Set: Trumpeter
Decals: Trumpeter
Paint: Sikkens Autowave II

Mr scale32 reacted to Lud13 in Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 Revell 1:32
Hello guys
I finished another Messerchmit BF 109...what else
This is 109 Nr. 13 in my collection and its a Revell kit with mix of Eagle Calls and Hasegawa decals. Unfortunaly I had problem with EC decals, both number 7 decals along with two fuselage crosses just disengrated when put in the water. Luckily for me had Hasegawa boxing with same markings so I used those . That's why there is a slight difference in decal color.
As for the model itself this is my third Revell Bf 109G-6 finished along with one G-10 and I really starting to hate that landing gear and prop assembly.
Rest of the model is more than ok with exception of MG covers which I replaced with resin ones.
Model painted with Model Master Authentic enamels with Valejo varnishes.
Here are some pictures, hope u like the model
One is Hasegawa kit ..Can u guess which one

Hello gentlemans. Model represent plane from AFB Hill nr: 13-5081. It was only one with some light weathering, when I build it....
Kit Italeri

Lot of scratchbuild and wiring (wheel bays, bombbays), added many surface details.
Wheels True detail...
Amraams Eduard brassin.
Paiting masks by DN-Models.
Decals: Furball
Etc....
I made my own exhaust nozzle od 3D printer, because all of aftermarket set was small....
Thank you for watching.

Completed the KH Mirage 2000C as a -5F. In my opinion this is KH's best effort to date. Assembly was good in spite of the usual bad instructions. I like the addition of the resin pilot and exhaust. The decals were thick and did not respond to setting solutions. In spite of decals for French, Greek, Brazilian and Taiwanese airframes, there are only French stencils. Also, no information is provided for the 4 different rudder tips and two noses, so check references before assembly. This wasn't my best work - I found a lot of things I would correct in a future build.
Your observations and critiques are welcomed.

Seeing all the nice treads for "builds of the 2019" inspired me to do the same.
So here are all my 1/32 builds of 2019. For me I manage to finish 7. The hardest to finish was the Special Hobby F-80C below here, All the aftermaked stuff I used fitted poorly, This bird needed alot of extra care. But Im pretty happy of the result. Feel free to comment.

Mr scale32 reacted to Westland48 in Schleicher K8b - G-CFTN Mendip Gliding Club - 1/32 Balsa Scratchbuild
Hi all,
I'm new here and this is my first RFI (please be gentle!).
There’s a bit of a story behind this one… I started learning to fly when I was 13 years old, first fying Grob Tutors with the Air Training Corps, before taking up gliding and, eventually moving on to powered flying – gaining my PPL in 2017. Unfortunately, I haven’t flown much since then (powered flying is WAY too expensive) so I’ve decided I’m going to try gliding again – I’ve never flown a glider solo!
I bought a 1/32 Revell Ls8, however, the all-white colour scheme and lack of interesting decals haven’t enthused me to build it – glass fibre/composite gliders also aren’t so interesting to model (though way better performance!).
This led me to turn my hand to scratch building a glider out of balsa. The glider in question, the Schleicher K8b, in the colours of my local gliding club – and quite possibly the aircraft I’ll end up soloing in once I get back to gliding.
I found plans online for a 2m wingspan K8b which someone had already turned into a .dxf file, I used CATIA to scale these plans to 1/32. I constructed the airframe by creating a spine from the side elevation then added ribs and stringers, before covering with balsa. The wing was created by making the upper and lower skins, gluing the wing ribs to the lower skin before attaching the upper.
The cockpit was a challenge, particularly the copy which I plunge molded some clear plastic packaging (from some new baubles) over a balsa mould. The pilot is a slot car figure from immense miniatures, with some major surgery to cram him into the cockpit – the internal fuselage structure visible in the cockpit sidewalls is made from 0.5mm pencil lead.
Painted with a mixture of halfords rattle can white and humbrol acrylic red, the decals were home printed and are a little thick, but overall, they look the part.
I’m really happy with how this has turned out given that I’ve never made a balsa model before and never made a model from scratch. There are a few inaccuracies, I’m aware of, such as the fuselage lacking a protruding “spine” over the centre of the wings, but I think it looks the part, let me know what you think!
Schleicher K8b, G-CFTN, Mendip Gliding Club
Hopefully I'll get some pictures of it "flying" when it's less windy outside so I can suspend it.
Thanks for looking!
