How much would you sell your built kits for?
Robthepom replied to dmthamade's topic in General Discussion
if someone takes the slight bit of interest in one of my built kits, i usually just give it to them. I have also 'sold' models for alcohol, 6 pack or carton beer -

I'm after opinions............ I know a few of you guys are either well connected or involved with modelling companies, what is your opinions on this release?? Do you think this production run will sell out? (reports say 1,500 kits) If they dont sell will the price drop? are Border just hyping the market by saying there will only be one run of kits? I am looking at buying the kit i just dont have funds right now. Ps ......Nice start Nigel, engines look great -

I did costing from Lucky models when the price of the kit was first released, it came out at AU$712 delivered to my door Today the price from Lucky models is AU$775 delivered Increase is due to shipping and reduction in % off I'll continue to dream, sigh -

nice bomb load. Did you use any of the kit launch rails? -

MiG-29A "Eagle Talon 97" Trumpeter 1:32
Robthepom replied to Koralik's topic in Ready for Inspection
very very good, i spent a lovely time viewing your excellent photos -
i would also love to attand some kind of cockpit zoom conference. i just dont know how you guys dont get blobby messes of superglue around the details., and how on earth you get the seat belts to look so natural is beyond me great photo and kits guys love it
-
Hummmmm, I'm on the fence a bit, i loved the big Typhoon, built one and one still in stash, i hope this Spit is similar standard. The Typhoon needs some manipulation and has a seam on every part but its a big brute of a kit. I hope they improve the scale thickness of the seat belts for the production run, very chunky

hey thanks for the suggestion Derek, I'm in no rush to finish the kit so i think I'll wait for resin parts to be ready stay safe

That would be fantastic, thanks for help

Twas the night before Christmas and this idiot snapped his Trumpeter EE Lighting canopy I am so upset, its been a tough finish to the year with not much bench time, its 8.44pm on Christmas Eve, and i cant believe the canopy snapped in my hand. I'm so upset. It took me ages to find the kit and now this....... Its real long shot but does anyone have spare front canopy they would let me buy/trade anything,........ even the wife is on offer, shes good cook and doesnt mind modellers I'll try white glue but i know it will upset me too much to put on display Stay safe people

Trumpeter 1/32 EE Lightning, ****Finished****
Robthepom replied to Robthepom's topic in Works in Progress
Bit of an update, halves are fitted and wings, good fits just a smidge of filler. I need to tidy the seams a bit more and continue to rivet, i should have bought a tool. I'm enjoying the kit I just wish it had the correct belly shape. Kit is much like myself, large with oversize belly. I'm very impressed with the surface detail, cant wait to get some paint down. The exhausts are masked off with Sodastream gas caps which were perfect fit. stuck with white glue -

thanks for the links, I'll stick with the kit parts because of the cost and the fact that the halves are now glued -
