  3. Hi ! I am no admin but if I was I would welcome you to the GB If there was a club for « I do not complete most of my build » people, I could be president I guess... So let’s try to progress and support each other until we all finish our builds so we can all be proud of our accomplishment both individually and as a team
  4. What?! It is not finished yet? Knowing you I would have expected the build to be complete by now... That is still some fine work you are doing Erwin, good job
  5. Thanks For the kind words guys, it is much appreciated. I have not had a chance to make much progress this week but I have a day off tomorrow so I should be able to resume work. cheers,
  6. Great start! I love this kind of improvement and detailing.
  7. Thanks Michael ! I am still highly motivated and I manage to spare some time for bench time so let’s hope for the best
  8. You can also give the plane to your grandson and he will make it fly ... It worked with my daughters too many times... Joke aside, it is nice that you sorted out the canopy issue and that you started this build.
  9. Hi chaps! quick summary of this weekend progress on the P-40. I have made the missing items, nothing really complicated here but it would have been better to not forget at first place Anyway, I was in the mood for a change from styren and blades so I got the airbrush off the mess it was in... and applied a few layers of paint: aluminium / airspray / flat black / cockpit green / water / chipping / clear If you ask me, I would say it is a bit on the heavy side but I want to belive it will tone down when weatehring will be applied It is not perfect but this build of mine have gone further than any other within the last decade so I must to be "forgiving" with myself so I do not loose the momentum Please feel free to comment and thank for your interrest. Cheers!
  10. Welcome to the GB! Looking forward to this atypical subject
  11. Hi ! thanks for the kind words. I actually kept the control stick and a couple of minor items from the kit... so I guess you are right Alex.
  12. All primed but while double checking I found out I forgot a few items like control stick detailling, cockpit lights, second hand hydraulic pump, bomb release lever, etc... I'll have to had this later Rear bulkhead needs filler I'd say ... Appart from the above mentionned ommissions, I am pretty happy with results. Thanks for following! Cheers
  13. Did you get a Typhoon clear sprue with the Spitfire kit?
  14. So sad. Don’t you want to Scratch build one?
  15. Thanks a lot That was the time when I used to complete the models I started
  16. Hi there ! quick update about the progress of the week: starboard side of the cockpit is done Main parts of the cockpit being now done, I will turn my attention to wheel wells. Thanks for following ! Cheers !
  17. Been there, done that on the old hasegawa with all the raised details... I can feel your pain
  18. All the above comments: Understatement... big time...
  19. Welcome to the party Erwin! That’s very unlucky for the clear part , I hope they will be able to help. Looking forward for you to start but knowing the speed of yours when it comes to modeling, you will probably complete your build before I start painting my P-40
  20. Hi, cockpit looks great If you liked the Tempest project, you may want to have a look at the Kate thread in the aircraft carrier GB of the same period
