  1. No problem! One of my favorite things about folks that share my obsession is our willingness to help each other. Just paying forward the countless times a fellow modeler jumped to my aid to resolve what I thought was an impossible ask... Semper, Ski
  2. Hey Troy, I recently completed a commission build of a 1/35 scale Loach using AoA Decals' excellent OH-6 sheet. (I also have the Fireball offering, which is excellent as well). If you can't find the Fireball sheet, let me know the markings you're looking for and I'll see what I have. Between the two sheets, I'm sure you can find what you're looking for. Cheers, Ski
  3. Superb! I saw this aircraft firsthand when we relieved -224 in Al Asad on 2005, and you nailed it, Sir! I particularly like the weathering on the turtle back antennas, looks perfect. Hat's off to a job well done. Semper Fi, Ski
  4. Harold, you are on FIRE! Keep up the great work, as always! Semper Fi, Ski

  9. As always, your work is top notch! Thanks for all you do for the hobby, Harold. You make it easy for us to build what we want; I for one am indebted to your creativity and handiwork! Semper, Ski
  10. Harold, if you're serious about doing a G+ mod, PM me. I have some photos that might interest you. Semper, Ski
  11. Agreed. I'd say most of us specialize; if you provide geographical location and subject matter, you'll get a bite or two! Ski
  12. Gorgeous work as always, Harold! Thanks for all you do to advance the hobby, you're a true leader in the aftermarket field. Cheers, Ski
  13. Hey, never say never. There IS a 1/35 CH-47 Chinook, after all! Can you imagine if Kitty Hawk's forays into 1/35 helos take off? Opens the door wide open for a myriad of big scale helos. Hell, I know I'm not the only one who'd like to see a big CH-46, UH-1E, a whole slew of Cobras, HH-43, UH-34, not to mention CH/HH-53s (would LOVE to do a USAF Super Jolly). IMO, those of us who are advocates of big helos can do our level best to let KH know we DO support their efforts by voting with our wallets. Even if I wait a couple years to build them, you can bet your a$$ I'm gonna pick up a couple MH-6s to support KH. Just my two cents, rant over... Semper, Ski
  14. Absolutely, 110%! MRC dropped the ball when they bought the Panda molds for their UH-1D/H/N kits. I'm working on a commission UH-1H right now, and forgot what a PITA that kit can be (I build a couple Ns a few years back). There is SO much to do to get those kits up to snuff, much of which involves borrowing parts from the MRC UH-1C kit. The disparity in quality between the C and long-bodied Hueys is apparent; it's a shame MRC didn't seize the opportunity to make a long-bodied Huey that was up to the same standard as their C kit. So, their loss is another company's gain, hopefully KH! I had no idea they had an H-6 in the works until Floyd broke the news. What I wouldn't give to see what else is up their sleeves! Bravo, Kitty Hawk, keep the good kits coming! Semper, Ski
  15. Ziggy, Are the decals available on their own? That is to say, are they available for purchase without the resin conversion? Thanks! Ski
  16. Hey Harv, Yes indeed, she was at Evergreen Aviation Museum last fall in the Large Jet category. Good memory! Semper, Ski
  17. I concur with Thierry. I think Furball did it right on their 1/48 "Lo Viz Devil Dog Scooters" sheet. It covers the E, F, M, OA-4M and TA-4J variants, and that diversity would appeal to more than just the A-4M crowd... Semper, Ski
  18. Thanks Chuck! No build log, just the link to pics on "Ready for Inspection". I think I might have some in-progress pics from way back, though... http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=54427&hl= Semper, Ski
  19. Greetings, Master Guns! I ran into the same dilemma in doing my Trumpeter A-4M. What I ended up doing was a hodgepodge of markings from various sheets. The intake warnings, ejection seat triangles and rescue arrows came from a 1/32 A-7 Corsair II sheet, "MARINES" was sourced from a 1/35 AH-1W sheet (I believe), and the "VMA-311 Tomcats" were done in individual white lettering. For the actual Tomcat and tail letters, I had to get creative. I found that high-visibility A-4M markings in 1/48 were roughly the same size as the low-viz markings in 1/32 (should go for most A-4 squadrons if you compare photos). Problem was, they were black. SO, I just oversprayed them in the base color of the A-4 until they were about the right shade of grey. Huge pain to get all the markings looking right, but the only game in town right now, unfortunately. Hope this helps! Semper Fi, Ski
  20. Rough? The hell you mean, rough? That's one fine looking Scooter, Nammer! Well done, sir, looks great. Semper Fi, Ski
  21. Not a fan of their warhead choice, though it is nice to see two types of rocket motors. I still swear by the Fisher Models LAU-10s. Semper Fi, Ski
  22. Hello Friends, I'm searching for Fireball Modelworks' FMD-04-35 (or 04-32) US Army Slicks in Vietnam. In particular, I'm looking for the bottom of the sheet with the bonus numbers and insignias that aren't associated with any of the schemes in the instructions. If you can help a brother out, I'd appreciate it! Please IM if you can help. Thanks! Ski
  23. Looking GREAT, Harold! Can't wait to see how they turn out! Ski
  24. Just gorgeous, keep up the good work! Ski
