  1. A few more of the 1/32 and 1/24 kits at the show...
  2. Here's a few of the excellent models that were on display at the 1/32 SIG stand, ablely manned by a few of our forum members. It was great to meet and chat with the likes of @Phartycr0c and @Trak-Tor as well.
  3. The Scimitar is also still in development, will probably be released next year. They had a 3D printed mock-up on the stand.
  4. I've actually now got a copy of the Lukgraph Hanriot, that's pretty sweet as well.
  5. I picked up one of my kits at Telford, sans decals and instruction sheet (which are to follow, hopefully before Christmas). Just had a quick glance at it and it does look very tasty indeed. On top of that, it looks like Proper Plane are going to produce a wooden prop for it as well.
  6. Can confirm, they weren't there this year.
  7. I spoke to DBMK at Telford, and the Hornet is planned to release by the end of 2024. They seem a great bunch as well - very knowledgable and keen to make their kits as accurate as possible. I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do! On top of that, they were hoping that the Hornet and Sea Fury would be available for under £100 per kit.
  8. I spoke to DBMK at Telford - they hope to release the Sea Fury by the middle of next year.
  9. Meng is sponsoring a car for the Macau race: MENG Joins TORO RACING for the 2023 Macau Grand Prix. At the 70th Macau Grand Prix in 2023, MENG will be supporting TORO RACING in the prestigious FIA GT World Cup with the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3 EVO. The car will be driven by the renowned racing driver, Marchy Lee, to compete against other top international factory team drivers. It's noteworthy that TORO RACING is partnering with AAPE, Evangelion and MENG for this year's event. The race car's livery, always the focus of fans’ attention, will be particularly eye-catching. It will feature a design inspired by the EVA Test Type-01, with a primary color scheme of purple and green camouflage patterns, paying homage to the classic colors of the EVA Test Type-01. The MENG logo will be prominently integrated into the car's design, reflecting MENG's involvement in world-class motorsport and its passion for racing culture. This unique vehicle will demonstrate its speed and superior performance on the street circuit of Macau! Let's look forward to the exciting performance of the TORO RACING team at the world's oldest street race! Remember to follow MENG's official accounts on various media platforms, and we'll be sharing all the action in the coming weeks. I wonder if we'll see Meng producing a model kit...the last time I can recall a model manufacturer sponsoring a racing team was Tamiya, with the 1991 Lotus in Formula 1.
  10. I agree it was entertaining, and the 'red line' debates were usually full of useful information. However, the 'know it all' individuals would broker no-one who questioned their viewpoints. I had one of them insisting that WNW were not closing, then insisting that they would be back and that I was putting the company at risk(!) by stating facts (even though I had more information on the WNW situation than he did). He even DM'd me accusing me of spreading the stories that WNW was permanently closed because he thought I was an 'eBay scalper' who was only doing it to sell kits at an inflated price!
  11. They do now that the main 'know-it-all' members have either left, or gone very quiet.
  12. Telford is open to the public on both days.
  13. In other, non-ex member news, we probably won't find out what the new kit is at Telford as Kotare are not attending this year.
  14. You need to use www.aviattic.com (they're not listed on www.aviattic.co.uk, and the original Pheon website is no more).
  15. Yes, it's him we're referring to. To be fair, when he and another well-known forum 'know-it-all' used to spar off each other it was quite entertaining.
  16. You having to have a second pop at it meant I just got in ahead of you - I'm #13005
  17. I'm planning on coming on the Saturday
  18. Try https://www.aviattic.com/collections/pheon-decals-all-products
  19. In case you missed the announcement, Aviattic has taken over all the remaining stock of Pheon decals after Rowan's death. They're currently for sale at https://bit.ly/pheon-is-back. No official word yet as to whether they intend to reprint those sets which are OOP, or whether any new sets will be forthcoming that follow the Pheon style rather than the Aviattic style - but it is good to see Pheon back.
  20. 1/32 was an established model scale for aircraft before 1/35 came along for armour. The only reason 1/35 exists is because of Tamiya, and their initial armour kit (the Panther). The size of the Panther kit was purely down to the need to install batteries and an electric motor inside the chassis, and the rest of the kit was scaled around them. When the kit proved popular, Tamiya measured the Panther and it came out as close to 1/35th scale - so they used that for all other armour kits they wanted to produce. So, if anything, it should have been the armour boys who bit the the bullet and switched to 1/32...
  21. This is the cert according to Firefox.
  22. I think it might be an issue with the SSL certificate. Tried on multiple browsers to access the site and I'm getting errors such as ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID (using Edge and Vivaldi) and SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER (using Firefox), yet when I run the site through an SSL checker it all seems fine...very odd. I'd try and see if your hosting service will revoke the existing cert and issue a new one.
  23. You don't need to log in or create an account with them - just click on 'Choose Images' and select the pictures you want to upload from your computer. When that's done, you need to copy the text in the box next to 'Direct Link' - it will be something like 'https://i.postimg.cc/ZRnWXBN9/c7d0bb1b42b78dd7-large.jpg' Then you need to copy that text, and when creating a message here you click on the 'Link' button at the top of the message and paste the text into there.
  24. You have to upload photos to a photo sharing service first (such as Photobucket, although I use https://postimages.org/),then you can add them into posts here as a link.
