  1. Glad it works. It’s been a little while since I used it, so my recollection of where the star was is a little hazy. Loving the Mig build by the way. Nig
  2. Hi, in the silhouette software you need to create an ‘offset’. If you press the star symbol on the right you should get the option to offset your shape either internally or externally by any amount required. This gives a perfect identical outline to any shape or number. You can then cut all lines as normal. Hope that makes sense. Nig
  3. Nothing mostly. If I have music on I often realise I’ve been sat listening to it for 30 minutes or so with a sanding stick or knife poised in my hand doing nothing. Luckily I haven’t dropped a knife in my leg yet!
  4. Hi, I can only answer for the ones I have, all published by Classic: No.4. Me 262 volume 2 No.5 Me 262volume 3 No.9 Me 163 Vol 2 No.13 Dornier Do335 No.15 Heinkel He177 No.17 Heinkel He162 No.18 Fw190 volume 1 No.19 Fw190 volume 2 No.20 Fw190 volume 3 No.22 Junkers Ju87 No.23 Junkers Ju88 volume 1 No.24 Junkers Ju88 volume 2 I also have Me Bf110 An Illustrated Study, published by Classic and Me 210/410 published by Midland. These two appear to be very similar, so I assume the Midland one may have been published by Classic at some point. They aren’t in the numbered series as above, but are similar format. Hope this is of some help. Nigel
  5. Have tried several variations and get the same each time ‘…….cannot receive messages’
  6. Thanks to Kevin for all the work in organising the raffle. Mustang Maniac, thanks for your donation, it appears that you cannot currently receive messages, so please PM me when you are able, thanks Nigel
  7. I only got as far as making a new firewall and forward under-fuselage before realisation sank in that I would be pretty much scratch building the whole thing. It’s languished on the SOD since then!
  8. Spooky, I just started building one of these last week.
  9. And as for the A Model kit………! Can’t wait to get the CSM one
  10. Can you put me down as a recipient and a donor please. I’ll donate HGW 321003 Fw190A-8 riveting set, HGW321001 Fw190D-9 riveting set and AIMS 32D006 Heinkel He219A decals. These can go in as 3 separate prizes. Thanks Nigel
  11. I get the same. I have a feeling it has been queried before and it is something to do with the hosting service used by the forums. Other sites have similar problems, and the general consensus is to just use google by entering your query and also LSP (or your forum of choice). I am sure someone else can probably clarify more, but I think it’s something we just have to put up with I’m afraid.
  12. Like Quang I am on an iPad with Safari, but it doesn’t open at all for me. Hope you manage to get it sorted somehow. Nigel
  13. Hi, have you had any luck yet with your image hosting problems? Like Malc, I have one of these in my stash, and would love to see the progress you are making. Nigel
  14. From my experience they are excellent. I get mine from Hiroboy in the UK. I have used them on racing cars and also on Schneider Trophy aircraft to good effect. Most of the colours dry matt/semi matt, so they do need a good gloss coat afterwards. Zero do good clear coats too.
  15. Apart from the printer and the software, what has always stumped me is how do you actually get what data you have, if there is actually any available, into the software in the first place? For example if I wanted to print parts for a WW1 aircraft, there may not necessarily be any plans or great detail out there, so what do you do, just guestimate the rough dimensions and place things in the software where you think they look right? How about a whole fuselage? Plans may show outlines but there are probably no end of subtle curves that could only be guessed at. I will probably never get around to buying a printer or learning the software, but I am totally in awe of you guys who manage to produce such fantastic things with them.
  16. ScaleModelShop, in UK, has plenty of different sizes of ez line type rigging by Uschi and Infini. Just enter rigging in the search box.
  17. I think I’d better build the two I already have before trying to persuade my other half that I really need another one!
  18. When I built this kit a few years ago I seem to remember emailing Marsh Models (Aerotech) about the oval wheels. From what I remember I think they said they were supposed to be like that so that they fit into the corresponding hole in the spats correctly. Not sure I was convinced and remember jiggling them around anyway, until they looked ok.
  19. Happy New Year to you too. I had the same problem with Maskol. I tried Vallejo masking fluid and it has been fine. Have had it for around 4 years now and had no drying out or solidifying, except for a tiny amount around the screw cap thread. I would definitely use it again. Nig
  20. Please put me down as a recipient, thanks.
  21. Used water filters, the type used for water jugs you put in the refrigerator, can be broken up to provide enough small spheres to last several lifetimes. The spheres vary in size, but probably average 0.75mm to 1mm. Just be careful when dismantling the filter as the spheres can go everywhere - don’t ask me how I know!
  22. Lovely build and nice to see this variant built. Re the engine cowl and gun deck cover fit, I know it’s too late now, but I think Bf109E’s had a notoriously badly fitting engine cowl, usually with a gap and slightly raised where it meets the gun deck. Not sure how to add a photo or link, but a search for bf109e cowl would throw up some examples. Looking forward to seeing some colour on it.
  23. Much like LSP Kevin, I use thin stretched sprue or rod glued on with Tamiya extra thin and then soaked with more extra thin. Before it dries, to get the weld seam effect I use a wooden cocktail stick with just the very tip cut off, pushed into the sprue all along the seam. I have used this quite effectively on 1/35 Churchill tanks.
