100% with you there Tony, Russia is one of the places I won’t buy from due to their warmongering.

That's a fair point. So that's now it's:
Saturday at 11:30 by the 1/32 SIG/LSP stand in Hall 3.
And
Sunday at 11:30 by the 1/32 SIG/LSP stand in Hall 3.
Suggest we don't change it any further as it could get very confused.
And just to make sure the SIG stand see this @Phartycr0c @Royboy

Ok, so shall we set a definite LSP meet-up then? I propose we have two meets, to cater for those coming on only one day.
Saturday at 10:30 by the 1/32 SIG/LSP stand in Hall 3.
Changed to 11:30 see post below
And
Sunday at 10:30 by the 1/32 SIG/LSP stand in Hall 3
Changed to 11:30 see post below
All in favour please indicate.

No, no, no DonH! Arrive totally unprepared. Tisn't a shop, its a fantastic saturation of great models and modellers. See and natter. Let the day WOW you. If you go home with stuffed pockets, not a problem, but in one day, expect to see and enjoy a fraction of the exhibition. I'll be there for two long days, as usual and I have never seen it all.

Thanks everyone for your advice.
I will be sure to spend unwisely and go home with way more than I should, and see far less than is there.
One big objective is to meet my online modelling friends, so looking forward to seeing you there!

I am going for the first time ever. I am very excited.
Only going on one day so the money not spent on hotels can go towards plastic and supplies.

mozart got a reaction from John Stambaugh in ICM Tiger Moth
I know there are lots of variations with Tiger Moths, but the ones that I have been up close and personal with don’t have fuel lines on the starboard side Leon, and on the port side the line exits on the nose just above the panel.

Who makes models?
I'm still a recent returnee to the hobby after a lifetime spent as a professional joiner doing crazy-complex stuff for listed buildings along with a lot of work for the National Trust and English Heritage. Taking up modelling again has been the perfect retirement pastime for me, and has provided a great outlet for the fact that I'm compelled to be creative in one way or another.
What kind of person am I? I always knew that I was weirdly obsessive and detail-focused (a very useful trait when working on some of the UK's most beautiful and precious buildings), but everything snapped into focus around ten years ago when I built and installed a kitchen for a lovely local lass. She was always hanging around, watching me working which I thought was a bit odd - it felt like I was under observation and being analysed, but not in a bad or creepy way. She was very chatty and a lot of fun to be around.
At the end of the job, we sat and had a coffee - at which point I asked her what line of work she was in. She told me that she was a cognitive behavioural therapist, and that she'd really enjoyed watching and talking to someone on the autism spectrum 😊 I had no idea !! She pulled up a list of 20 low-spectrum traits on her laptop, and everything on that list was me ........
It transpired however, that she'd been watching me and spending time with me for another reason, and she was really pleased when I sheepishly asked her out. I was delighted when she said yes.
Ten years on - and we're still together ...... ❤️

Badgers? There are no badgers on the Isle of Man. Black and white striped bankers we've got, sharks we've got, but no snakes, foxes or badgers.
Check with WWF if you doubt me.

This one was not on my "buy" list, but at that price from Jadlam and the reviews and builds on here I took the plunge and the nice postie dropped it off yesterday.
Cheers

Hello everybody!
Unfortunately, it looks like I won't be coming this year.
Not an easy decision, after 8 consecutive visits.
It's not entirely definitive, but...
I hope you have a wonderful time!

mozart got a reaction from Kagemusha in 1/32 Airscale Pro Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB Bubbletop TP-D 198 Squadron June 1944
Well done Andy! I have this kit/conversion but haven’t got round to making it yet, so I’m pleased you’re blazing the trail. Following for sure. IF it matters, please note that Peter’s kit has the smaller empennage so not all later Typhoons can be accurately modelled. We’re not talking huge differences here, but just to make you’re aware. Here’s a handy guide:
On checking, your model, TP-D of 198 Squadron is serial MN293 which just fits in the production batch of bubble canopy and smaller tail! Well done that man.
What’s missing from the profile is a small repeat of the serial number above the fin flash on the tail. Not all squadrons did this, but the fuselage serial number was often obscured by the D-Day stripes, hence the repeat.
The photo doesn’t appear to show the external exhaust fairings, these were often discarded by the ground crew for servicing convenience.
MN293 was flown by two different pilots on 6 June '44:
And MN293's end six weeks later:

Interesting question Chris (and you flatter me to put me in the same class as Kent!). Regarding the model makers/producers, I count myself lucky to have Tim and Peter as personal friends and their great strength is that they have amongst their many other talents, a mastery of 3D CAD and print knowledge. There are rising talents, two of whom are Jim Barry and Iain Ogilvie. What a wonderful time to be a 1/32 modeller.

Hmmm, as I said Leon, lots of variations! That Aussie one is certainly very unusual, even the starboard venturi tube is in an odd place. I posted a walkaround of the Tiger Moths I used to fly and I can assure you they were meticulously and accurately restored by their owner, Kevin Crumplin, who even did all the linen surfaces and stitching:
