  1. Putty can hide a multitude of transgressions. There’s a saying I use when fabricating and welding steel stuff, “grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain’t” …..a saying I’ve carried over to my modelling with putty and paint
  2. Don’t eat too much cake and end up like your avatar…..explode!
  3. Some good points made here in the last couple of posts. I’ll bin a model and lose interest, it’s rare but does happen on the other hand, I’ll happily adopt and build with great gusto another modellers cast off/stalled/ stash queen/ shelf of doom model. Point of fact some recent (from a friend cast off) builds: vac 1/48 Aurora, vac 1/32 Lockheed Hudson, 1/32 hawker hunter and just recently a 1/32 Hasegawa Oscar…..and I’ll fricken do it again
  4. I'm not saying I can make it but, it is an oob build so maybe... Well this took a few hours to do, cutting Tamiya tape to mask the clear component I built up the components that will be the cockpit color and the engine. I drilled the cylinders and front ring to add plug wires great fit so far and moving along nicely Thanks for looking
  5. Hoping this counts as an aces high build...I'm very late in the game here as well but I'm planning on an "out of the box with kit decals" build here's hoping Beautiful box art: work will now commence Thanks for looking
  6. Great problem solving! kinda reminds me of a vac kit with these iffy fit issues.
  7. Never could get into guns, never will
  8. My favourite comedy group!
  9. So what im hearing is I can list and sell my 88 and 111 on eBay and retire?
  10. Is this an old kit? I didn’t know Revell did an F-16 from what year? hang on, never mind I’ll check scalemates it should all be there for the reading
  11. A one day short of a week to build. This was a partly built hand-me-down kit with the upper and lower halves of the wings glued together. I've added nothing but tape seat-belts, lead wire ignition leads and brake hydraulic tubes. The kit was missing decals and a couple of clear parts so I painted the markings and beat it up a bit. Started last Sunday... and after looking at images I realized I'd forgot the antenna. Added now Thanks for looking
  12. nice! I'll tag along on those builds
  13. That’s a hell of a conversion! Some guys will do anything to build an accurate Mirage 2000C
  14. Very nicely done thats one angry looking bird!
  15. Happy birthday and many more
  16. the term "sardines" comes to mind almost immediately!
  17. For some reason I just had a flashback to ummagumma: several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict….except for the Gaelic guy loosing his sh*t at the end
  18. Happy 66th sir….a day late as usual
  19. I took a chance on some Reskit parts I was interested in….took over 4 weeks to get it from Hannants to Saskatchewan Canada and the tracking number didn’t work. The same orders placed from Reskit in Ukraine usually arrives in about 2.5-3 weeks and the tracking number always works….how can a company in a country at war and further away ship more efficiently than another member of the commonwealth
  20. So a B instead of a D? Or still a D but early D? the long canopy 18’s look so much better (just my opinion) than the one man aircraft
  21. 1/48 Great Wall Hobby; nearly complete, ran into issues, got tired of the build and it's issues....jammed it back in the box, took the box outside on the sidewalk and walked all over it Roden 1/48 Turbo porter (see above)\ Airfix 1/24 Typhoon is going that way Zvezda Boeing 777 gonna get stomped soon Tamiya 1/35 Tiger buggered up the paint, was going to toss it but gave it to grand kids (same end result) Trumpeter Mig 15 half done, back in the box, lost parts tossed it. I'm much worse, or was much worse at saving auto parts that I may need someday, finally cleaned out boxes and boxes of old Holly and, Rochester carb. parts HEI distributors, cams, coils and all that old performance stuff very therapeutic to clean out old parts kits and crap every now and then sooooooo ya
