  1. Nice base. I would recommend EZ-Line for aerials. Great stuff. Also a bit more exhaust stains I think.
  2. Like my experience with the Eduard 1/48 FW 190 A-5; It was cheap, but 10$ more for a a Hase kit would have saved me that many times over and over in reduced building time.
  3. Neat. Will you buy that? Myself I may later build the another Yellow 7, the (almost) full green one found in the vicinity of prague. But I better build the first before start plan for the next
  4. Well, i guess I got my explanation sort of WIP? Probably, but it would not focus so much on "How to" stuff.
  5. I just bought Cutting edge's decal sheet for Bf 109G-10 Now I am waiting for Revell to ship their new kit. It is supposed to ship in january but I have seen very little, nothing in fact, of pre-release buzz and excitement. Why is that?
  6. I am looking for info on Luftwaffe hangars and buildings. Anyone know of a good source?
  7. The Hasegawa K-4 have this flattened spine just aft of the cockpit. I figure this also affect the shape of the canopy which is designed to fit. (btw, the 48 scale model have exactly same error!) Squadron have a replacement but I am not sure what shape it is.
  8. The Brabazon actually had eight piston engines in the wings, driving those contra rotating props.
  9. Xtracylics from Hannants perhaps. Generally speaking (and I may be stepping on toes here) mixing colors is for those that insist on using Tamiya paints, or think the professional paint producers got it wrong.
  10. I found this company made masks for Revell/monogram bf 109 (48 scale), something which Eduard does'nt do. Their web page is up(!) but haven't been updated for some time. Anyone who know anything about this?
  11. Well, the model of it started and landed all right on water. Can't say how comfortable for the pilot it would be. Otoh, in those days, on grass fields, with no computer assisted flight controls...
  12. Aerotech 1/32 Piaggio-Pegna P.c.7 http://www.coopersmodels.com/catalog/item/8749772/10004475.htm flying models can be found on youtube.
  13. It is a kind of shopaholic-ism. I am just a beginner, but I have a dozen planes in the stash. And still is tempted by ebay...
  14. Funny, I finished MY "white 21" yesterday! Only 48 scale but my first airbrush kit ever=) I am interested in how yours will look.
  15. I have noticed what appears to be a something of a trend when shopping around for decals on Ebay. The photos uploaded by several shops show only the decal sheet, not the art work that show the what, when, and who! Aircraft type, check (it is in the heading after all. But not always...). Chevrons, check. Balkencreuzes, check. Swastikas, check. Airplane identity, no bloody idea! Unless I allready know the product number of what I want it is only to pass all the decals by.
  16. Most likely only protective primer was used, all things considered.
  17. Typical. Dead link. Anyway we don't have a water trap, and I am not 100% sure it is needed up here in Sweden. Of course, better safe than sorry, should my club by a new one. I will check if there is water in the hose and see what comes out. Maybe mice?
  18. The commonly used pressure of 12-20 psi translate into 1-1.3 bar. My problem is that the air supply stop totally when the regulator is turned down to 2 bar. I suspect the small compressor (no tank) simply is to weak. Am I right?
  19. Looks nice! I like the wear on the cowling.
  20. Thanks guys! Those card things look very promising. Wonderfully cheap too:-D
  21. Tnx for the help guys! I got better result today. It is tricky but perhaps it is one of those things that really is helped by experience over time.
  22. My gaming club need proper 20's and 30's aeroplanes for rpg/miniature scenarios taking place in that era. First out is an excavation of a cursed tomb in Egypt... Scale should be close to 1/56 but 1/48 is fine. Preferably not any stringbags. Suggestions very welcome

Oob then. At that scale there won't be much stuff in the aftermarket. Like new tracks...
