  1. Nice start! Looking at the wing shape, imagine the confusion if the He 112 had been flown over England during the Battle of Britain!
  2. I hope Revell or ICM decide to do a MiG-15 or MiG-17. They are decidedly issuing excellent kits these days. But anyone else can produce one, and if it’s good, so much the better. If It is eventually Airfix, then it’s naturally going to be in 1/24 scale! Alain
  3. Hard to believe it’s a Smer kit! Excellent finish! Alain
  4. Very nice surface detail! Will be interesting to follow the build! Alain
  5. I like this ! Can’t wait for the crosses to go on! Alain
  6. Beautiful model! We are used to the bare metal with green overspray, but this all solid paint coat (plus nice markings) is highly attractive! Alain
  7. Great paint job! The 209 was a failure, but a such a cool looking plane! Alain
  8. Beautiful work throughout! A bit of care really turns this kit into a stunning model! Alain
  9. Excellent work here! I think the Sentai markings turned out nicely. I believe all these were hand painted and closeup examination usually shows some irregularities. Alain
  10. Bravo! Very realistic exhaust stains! Those pictures really helped. Alain
  11. Fantastic looking model! Very operational paint finish! Looking forward to the F-4E thread. Alain
  12. Very impressive kit, in design detail and size! Thanks! Alain
  13. I didn’t know that, but it is not surprising when you think about it. Panzer IVs were still in use by Syria in the seventies.
  14. It is 1/32, as written on the box. But scale doesn’t mean much as it was never built full size. Any dimension given is just an estimate. The old Tie Fighter kit stated as 1/48 is 15cm tall (just a tad under 6’’). At 13’’, the new kit could be more around 1/22 scale if the previous scale was correct. Alain
  15. I know the Millenium Falcon has many retooled parts to correct the height of the sides, and the Darth Vader Advanced Tie has a new figure and a couple other improved parts. Others I don’t know. Alain
  16. Hi all! Just stumbled upon this watching a video on new AMT Round 2 new kits: at 2:21. Isn’t that cool or what! Here’s the complete video, with other new or retooled Star Wars, Star Trek kits among others. Alain
  17. Stunning build! This plastic kit is turning into a real beauty! Alain
  18. Gluing these tiny wipers on the clear windshield must have been a bit stressful! Glad it turned out fine! Did you ever find the 2 control sticks that went missing quite a while back? Have fun with the decals, not my favorite part either, but so satisfying when it’s over! Alain
  19. I’m certain many have seen the photo of the piles of discarded P-38s somewhere in the Pacific. Alain
  20. I remember reading somewhere (please trust me!) that the RN just pushed their Corsairs off the end of their carriers at the end of the war, for the same reason as the Soviets. In 1945, no one was thinking of future collectors, the same way we scrap today’s stuff without a second thought! Alain
  21. Definitely good thing to let it rest a bit, and eventually come back if needed. Alain
  22. Bonjour! The mottling you have achieved is very convincing, comparing with the photo of the original aircraft. During the Battle of Britain, Bf109 E aircraft if JG2 had their RLM65 sides mottled with dark green with a sponge and displayed a surface finish very similar to your aircraft. Perhaps a light application of paint imitating that effect would improve even more your model. Alain
  23. Excellent work my friend! All the extensive preparation work is really paying off with in the paint finish! Looking forward to the topside colors! Alain
