  1. Good question Jennings, it was my first question also. Model has parabrake housing. Would be easier to convert to F-86L with this. Main difference between F-86D and F-86L is the wing. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY MY HANDS ON THIS! KITTY HAWK, YOU ROCK
  2. I MADE THIS ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO, BEFORE THE LATEST RELEASE CAME OUT. I DROPPED THE FLAPS AND USED EDUARD COCKPIT AND SEAT SET
  3. I APPRECIATE ALL THE SUPPORTIVE COMMENTS, THANK YOU SHAWN G.
  4. 25TH FIS NAHA AFB, 1958 (F-86D-45)
  5. FINALLY GOT AROUND TO BUILDING THIS, I LIVED AT EDWARDS AFB FROM 1975 TO 1979. I EVEN PLAYED 2 YEARS OF VARSITY BASKETBALL THERE (1978,1979). THE ORIGINAL PROTOTYPE HAD MANY CHANGES FROM PRODUCTION MODELS: NO WING FILLET, DIFFERENT GEAR, MAYBE DIFFERENT WHEEL WELL POD, TEST PITOT TUBE, ONE PIECE NOSE DOOR, DIFFERENT HORIZONTAL STABILIZERS, SEAT, 20MM CANON, ETC. EVENTUALLY THE 30MM CANON WAS ADDED TO THIS AIRCRAFT. I DIDN'T WEATHER BECAUSE I WANTED "JUST ROLLED OFF ASSEMBLY LINE" LOOK. I EVEN ADDED A PICTURE FROM EDWARDS AIR SHOW THAT I TOOK.
  6. Not same aircraft, but wanted to share. My father in F-86D Naha AFB, 1958.
  7. Thank you, I will look for in progress photos.
  8. Finally got around to building this, I opened up engine cylinders. I detailed engine and gun doors. I used Eduard belts. I dropped the flaps with details. YES, there are fit issues, but stuck with it. Shawn G.
  9. Of course it takes "some" work, nothing out of the ordinary. I made F-5 prototype. Post on here. Good Luck
  10. Thanks Tony, for the download
  11. YES, PLEASE BRING ON F-101 AND F-102!!!! especially RF-101
  12. Has anyone on here tried to convert X-1 to X-1A or X-1B?
  13. FINALLY, I have been waiting for injection molded Sabre Dog for decades. My father loaded the Mighty Mouse missiles in Okinawa in 1958. The F-102s arrived maybe 6 months later. I made the ID Models Sabre Dog a few years ago. Looks like they are coming out with D and K Sabres. I will buy both!
  14. I have the Dragon kit, how do I convert it to Bf110 C? Thank You
  15. I used 1/32 Hasegawa F-5E for front part. I used Belcher Bits resin F-5A for rear fuselage. The pitot tube is aluminum tube. The custom decals were made using vectoring (Windows Paint) software. I scanned the images and then had to "clean" the images up using software. They were printer on decal paper.
  16. Yes I did encounter this. I made a vacuform copy of the canopy and used that instead. The glue hasn't set yet when I took this picture. I used Gator Hobby glue. I swear by the stuff. Wish I knew where to get it now, anyone?
  17. EXCELLENT! How did you achieve the weathered look?
