  1. its still a good decent kit considering just how old the mold is.
  2. NIce job it appears you are missing a piece of your right flap section. other than that it is beautiful.
  3. I am sure if some one wanted to bad enough to try and install the seamless intake trunk's that are designed for the Tamiya F4 but I heard it is a lot of very hard work to put them in the Revell kit. but it can be done but Iam not sure if it would be worth it unless some one wanted to have it with pilots sitting in it in a taxy type setup.
  4. Iam not sure if I have all my remove before flight tags in the correct accurate spots I was guessing during installation but looks good enough I suppose.
  5. Thanks everyone in case any one is wondering the Intake covers are from AMS Resin they are the only AF company that's makes them for the Revell and they already come colored red I cant remember if I had stated that in the build thred its a real easy solution for the none intake trunks as Bill said
  6. Well Tony for mostly an out of the box build it does not take me long one month on a build is long enough for me unless there is a diorama involved then ill go longer.
  7. Thanks Dave sounds like you got your hands Full lol
  8. Well guys its finally done but i think i chose the wrong time of day the sun is at its brightest resulting in my usual shady spot being a little to dark i am planning on building a photo booth this weekend and see if that will do better for future photos i hope these will do for now i dont have the best digital camera either.
  9. Yea i dont know what Revell was thinking back in the 70's when they first started making their big F4's with no intake trunks which is why i just bought the AMS resin FOD covers for mine.
  10. Well Zero its true the Revell kit is not the best F4 kit out there its always been over shadowed by the Tamiya version but in saying that Revell has made more versions of the F4 in 1/32 than anybody which to me say's a lot and yes the revel kits are not as detailed and has a couple accuracy issues but the 40 dollar price tag for 1/32 F4? in my opinion that's a hell of a deal but the so called experts or rivet counters out there are never satisfied with any kit from any company they are always going to wine about something. I always look at it from my point of view if something is not right fix it. sound simple enough to me but im just a modeler what do I know LOL.
  11. Well there were a couple lines that are a little shallow and a couple i forgot to rescribe but oh well it happens.
  12. OK guys weathering is done just the way i want it this will be the last 2 pics before it is transferred to the final reveal section.
  13. Normally I would just spread the wash all over the plane and go back an wipe off the excess but then it would end up being way too dirty which is what I am trying to avoid. but we will see what happens so far I am likeing the result's.
  14. AS you can see there are a few spots here and there to be redone.
  15. Trying the first time at doing the pen style wash.
  16. Yes weathering is coming but it wont be as dirty but Air force birds are usually kept pretty clean tidy.
