  1. Each of your updates along the way have left me baffled how you could achieve such precision on such small detail parts. However, the overall completed model is even more remarkable. Mike
  2. All I can say is "WOW", but I'll add "stunning" for good measure. Mike
  3. Magnificent. Great choice of subject, and a really fine build. Mike
  4. Most impressed! I bought this conversion a few years ago then put it on hold when rumours started to emerge of a new 1/32 Mirage. Forgive me for asking, but isn't the nose wheel well for a IIID in the same position as for a IIIC ? (measured in relation to the intakes, not the nose cone) Mike
  5. Absolutely immaculate! Couple this with such an interesting and charming choice of aircraft and it has to be a winner. Mike
  6. Hi Matt, only just seen this - I seem to have missed it somehow. Your Hawk looks magnificent, and I can see the level of effort that's gone into improving the kit as I built one a few years ago adding pylons, gun pack and detail upgrades to a camouflaged one from the Red Arrows boxing. I must admit to being most impressed with your choice of colour scheme and how well it turned out, so much so that I'm using it as inspiration as I refinish the one I made a few years ago. Thanks for showing off your efforts. Mike
  7. Beautifully done. Started mine just a few days ago and I am using your build as a guide on what to expect. Mike
  8. While you make it sound like building the kit was a bit of a battle, it's a battle you clearly won. It looks excellent! Mike
  9. So..you're good with a camera too. What (if anything) aren't you good at? As someone said in another post, maybe we should just go away and sulk for a week. (Plane looks even better now). Mike
  10. Absolutely superb, no other words for it. Also, one of the best 'reads' for a long time. Mike
  11. I have watched the conversion and been quite impressed throughout. Adding such an unusual scheme just tops it off magnificently. Great conversion, great build. Mike
  12. Superb build. I was all set to do the same aircraft a while ago but found the Flightpath decals to be so badly out of register as to leave the roundels and shark mouth unusable, so the model went back in the stash. However, your model looks immaculate - did you paint your major markings or were they ok? Mike
  13. If that's what you call 'coming to grips with the air brush', I can scarcely imagine what you could do with a bit more practice, because it looks like you've well and truly mastered it. Love it. Mike
  14. What an absolutely superb finish. My idea of a perfect finish is when all the various techniques merge together at a distance leaving the impression of just subtle variations, but reveal quite a detailed approach when viewed more closely. And that's exactly what yours does. Brilliant. Mike
  15. Words fail me - fascinating and entertaining (model's rather good too). Do you give lessons? regards Mike
  16. Hi Eric, I can remember asking in one of your other threads 'what's next?', so I'm really glad you have returned to the Sabre. I have to admit, your level of detail just blows me away. Not sure whether you have got there yet or not, but there was a small spring loaded door that covered the lower arm of each airbrake that our mutual friend Chappo insisted I include on mine - I wouldn't have seen them in photos if I hadn't known what to look for. Again though, brilliant stuff. Mike
  17. Looks magnificent. I especially like the slightly subdued colours. Mike
  18. Outrageous, and just brilliant. Absolutely love it. Mike
  19. Given that the posting is driven by a new camera, do I say great build, or great photos? Either way, looks great. I think the colours and weathering look spot on. Mike
