Interior gets same raw aluminum, as does the bottom of the ‘pit. A dark grey wash (Vallejo), gives it some life.

    Hello

Here is my latest built (completed some times ago actually...)

It is the HKM 1/48 B-17G. A pleasant built.
    Addons :
Eduard PE for the inside + space for the cockpit
Eduard Brassin exhaust pipes, turbochargers and wheels
    Eduard bronze landing gears
    Master gun barrels
    Superscale Decals

It is my first kit painted with an airbrush... I used Tamyia paints.

Sorry for the poor quality of the picts, I had to take them with my phone as the model is way too big for the lighting box.

After lightly spraying some dust here and there (Floquil earth), all parts all now shined up with MRP clear. I tried this clear first on my test dummy (the old tank), just to make sure it was OK. All went well there, so I spritzed all of the new parts. Decals now all on, and looking pretty spiffy. Now for some dirt, dings and stains.

Two years later... still not finished. I finally got the motivation to finish her up just the other day thanks to a couple of blokes at the IPMS forum, but now the disgusting swedish summer is preventing me from doing any work.

It's too hot to live. Hopefully it won't keep me off the kit for another two years...

    Hello LSP,

I finished the Cessna a few months ago and have posted it in a couple of places. But I thought it might make a nice introduction to my first post here on LSP.

There was a lot added to the engine and a little bit done with the interior. But in general the 40 year old kit includes just about everything you see here.

Back in August a member was asking if he should build his copy or just collect it.

I would answer his question by pointing out that unbuilt models are sad and lonely and if you were going to have a "bucket list" finished model, this would be one.

This is the second part of a commission build. Two years ago I finished an Avro Lancaster 35th Squadron for a museum display regarding fellow Norwegian Johan Koren Christie: https://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?/topic/90915-hk-models-avro-lancaster-raf-35th-squadron/#comment-1305054
This time it's Johan's brother Werner Christie that is the subject of my model. Werner together with his brother fled occupied Norway, attended Pilot training at Little Norway Toronto. Returned to Europe and UK after finished flight school. Served first in 331 Sq. and later in 332 as Squadron chief. Transferred to the British 234th Squadron, later Wing Commander of the 150 Wing. and spent the last weeks of WW2 as a POW after a bail out over Northern Germany.
This model will go into the same exhibition as his brothers Avro Lancaster and some personal items including his medals on loan from the family. The model is supposed to represent Werner's D-Day ride. The 18" invasion stripes were painted on in a very crude manner on the 5th of June....
332 Operated from Bognor Regis in the summer of 44. Bognor was wire mesh covered: I have tried to replicate that for the base.
All in all not a perfect result, but at least a very interesting and historical subject. I really do enjoy when history and modelling come together!
Tamiya Spit, Resin from Barracuda, figure Ultra Cast with a hornet head, HGW seat harness and decals from fellow Norwegian Vingtor Decals. Figure painted by my good friend Cato N!

Forgot to answer your question Dan! Sorry!

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think that it's too wide for the fuselage. If I understood him correctly, t sits nicely on both sides, but there doesn't seem to be enough plastic to reach the front.
