  1. 1/32 scale Italeri kit improved in many areas: Cockpit area rebuilt and converted to S / CIO version with the help of Eduard photoetched parts, Anyz details, and Eduard brassin seat. Improved gear areas with self costruction, Anyz details and Brassin wheels. The entire fuselage has been reworked to reduce the size of the original panel lines. Oxygen compartment and parachute compartment of the MBL company. Pitot tube master model. Res / Kit exhaust cone. Painted with gunze on the side with nato camouflage and Tamiya lacquers for the special color area. Lower area in alclad. Decal zotz used only to create masks: all the decoration on the special color side is painted, except for the cat's eyes. Stencil from the excellent kit sheet. AIM-7E and AIM-9L eduard brassin: they are equipped with a magnet to be able to remove them at will (small poetic license since being a special color there are no photos of the armed specimen).
  2. Hello, finally tomorrow we go back to the office, just in time to finish my quarantine job. I took advantage of the gloomy and sad atmosphere to face my first Nazi aircraft: a Bf 109E-3 piloted by the Staffelkapitän of 5./JG 51 Horst Titzen. The plane is set on August 14, 1940 in France (two days later the pilot will be killed in an aerial duel with a hurricane over the mouth of the Thames). The model is the Cyber-Hobby (Dragon) with the addition of Eduard photoengraves and the Radio set of Aires. I wanted to try the set of positive rivets from HGW, the processing is rather complex but the final result is not masculine: practically these are decals before the colors, once they are finished, we pass the fine grain abrasive paper (1500/200 ) on the whole model making them stand out being themselves light colored. Obviously it looks better on dark colors because it increases the contrast. The coloring was done with Gunze colors, the decals are from the box except the Balkenkreuz colored through self-produced masks. Photo: I dedicate the model to our fantastic Hobby which allowed me to spend these difficult days at best.
  3. After the hard work to complete the Su-25 that I presented to you a few days ago here is my new project: a nice Tamiya kit to make me happy with the world of injected plastic ... It is a bit that study of the subject in question, it is one of the specimens used for the first suicide attackers described in this famous photo taken on 25 October 44 in Mabalacat in the Philippines: The Zeke in the foreground with the code 02-888 should have been piloted by Lieutenant Yukio Seki and portrays him the moment before taking off for his last mission which will end with his sacrifice and the sinking of the escort aircraft carrier st. Lo (CVE-63) The Photos of the complete model: Finally the "vintage" photo directly from 1944 ... Thanks everyone for the advice. Until next time.
  4. Yes... All... Cockpit, wheel bay, antenna set, exaust and r60 aphid missiles
  5. Hello to all, I can finally present you my last work: it's a Su-25m1 in force with the Ukrainian aeronautics in 1/32 scale Trumpeter kit. We found a really grueling job for a lot of reasons, the Trumpeter kits are always revealed for what they are: toys designed by people who saw the real aircraft only on photos found on the net. Without dwelling on the dimensions (they are not one of those that compare the scale drawings to verify the truthfulness) and on the details sketched or completely missing, the real problems are in the joints and in the brain-splitting decomposition of the kit; a clarifying example are the gondolas that house the engines and the very long air ducts divided into two parts that leave a line in the middle that has been eliminated. The changes have been innumerable and in each area of the aircraft, the wpp monograph on the Su-25 has been fundamental in trying to reproduce the details that the manufacturer has omitted. To make this operation easier, I have also given background to everything that the market offers in the form of aftermarket. For the coloring I used the dedicated set of the Russian firm Akan with self-produced masks with the cutting plotter. The decals are a mix of the dedicated set of Foxbot (completely wrong, I think they are about 1/25 scale ...), of the Trumpeter decals and something cannibalized by the sets dedicated to the Su-27 and Mig-29 of Begemot, especially for armaments. It took nine months of hard work. Here are the pictures:
  6. Hi everyone Can someone give me advice on the color for the Su-25's wheel bay? thanks
  7. Good morning guys I'm happy to present you the pictures of the complete model: kit: Special Hobby Hi Tech version # 32070 1/32 scale Aftermarket: Air intake, nose and blade correction kit (Barracuda Cast # 32334) cannon compartment right wing (CMK 129-5109) Eduard photoengraving for landing flap. 8. Hi, I would like to present my new job: it is a B-25J Mitchell, 447th squadron, 321st group of bombs in Corsica in 1944. The scale is my usual 1/32 and the model is the Hong Kong Models kit. The set used was the set of eeduard photo etched detail sets, torn guns of the machine guns, the pale correction (those of the kit have the wrong shapes) of the ams, the resin brassin set for Eduard's wheels and obviously the kitsworld decals Only the noseart decals and the name for the riders are used, all the rest is painted on the model by masking the cutter's plotter). Colored with Tamiya and Alclad colors. Here are the pictures.
  9. Sure Kevin.. thanks for your opinion for the panel lines, i note..
  10. Hello to all, with this my last job I tried to put all my efforts on weathering, trying to give a worn look to my Corsair. The Corsairs of the Marines were really "massacred" by environmental conditions found on the South Pacific islands: hot sun, abrasive sand as crystalline diamond paper, salt made themselves felt on the livery of the great fighters of the Vought. I have depleted all the techniques in my "possession" (Preshading, Postshading, paint chips with toothbrush and maskol, desaturation varied, use of pigments, oil washes and Panel liner of Ak interactive), many of which used to first time. To you the opinions ... my critical opinion is that, to date, I gave the best I could give and so I am very satisfied. In short: F-4U1 "Birdcage" personal aircraft of Lieutenant Wilbur "Gus" Thomas nicknamed Gus's Gopher, you belong to VMF-213 stationed in July '43 air base on Guadalcanal Tamiya kit 1/32 scale Aftermarket: Resin Motor Eduard, accessory bay in the Grey Matter resin wheels Barracuda Cast resin. Color: Tamiya and Gunze. Here are the photos, Semper Fidelis. :-) "> ">
  11. Hi, I used the set 32006 , sincerely I do not know if it is 100% correct : photos of this model are few and far apart. I trusted indications of Tamiya.
  12. I used tamiya compound and I set the piece in wax future...
  13. Hello everyone , I present my latest work : Spitfire MK.IXc belonging to145 SQUADRON RAF on the Tunisian Goubrine airbase during April 1943 , piloted from Ace Polish Stanislaw Skalski . The kit is Tamiya 60319 , " seasoned" with aftermarket various resins Barracuda cast for tires and various parts of the cabin , and Eduard photoetched. The coloring was done by free hand with acrylics Xtracrylics , as my habit I tried to minimize the use of decals , replacing them , where possible , with masking . For the weathering I tried different filters of the True Earth. Here are the pictures:
  14. Thank you for the compliments, and I gladly accept the criticisms of an expert of p-47, the doors of the landing gear are colored in yellow zinc, but probably the washes have darkened the color... I did not know the color of the cockpit ... the next I'll do it right :-)
  15. That's all, thank you for your vision and now, after 2 propellers, let's get back to some good old stove pipe ..
